Title: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: Cyrrex on May 06, 2014, 10:55:55 PM Doesn't seem we have a dedicated Humble thread, so I thought I'd post this. Not a traditional "bundle" sale, but it seems there are a few good deals to be had. Only 10% of this is going to charity, if that makes any difference.
https://www.humblebundle.com/store?utm_source=hss (https://www.humblebundle.com/store?utm_source=hss) Stick of Truth is on sale, but I haven't decided yet if this is down to what I consider a reasonable price. Maybe. Walking Dead (both seasons) are on sale...I have been waiting on Season 2 to have more episodes before I buy it, but the price looks decent. Season 1 is downright cheap, and totally worth it. Lego Marvel Super Heroes is cheap. I guess I want this on a console if anything, but the kids don't seem to give a shit about it. Thief is half price, but fuck that game in its eye socket. There are probably a few others, but I haven't gone through the whole thing. Title: Re: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: K9 on May 07, 2014, 07:33:43 AM Dungeon Defenders is a great coop game. Kingdom Rush for £3 is a good deal, it's a fun and polished tower defense game.
I'm tempted by Thief too. Title: Re: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: Signe on May 07, 2014, 08:33:14 AM Outlast? Any good?
Title: Re: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: pxib on May 07, 2014, 09:32:35 AM Outlast is a very spooky, well-arranged pile of "scary game" tropes. It'll never be Game of the Year and it's not breaking new ground, but if you're into survival horror where you run instead of fighting, it's a dark and oozing example of the genre.

Every THING in that game oozes, play it at night with the lights off.Title: Re: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: Signe on May 07, 2014, 01:54:51 PM Thanks! I think I will get it, then. The DLC is on sale too.
Title: Re: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: Fabricated on May 07, 2014, 02:44:44 PM It has a really silly story and a lame ending but it's pretty atmospheric and certainly creepier than A Machine for Pigs.
Title: Re: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: Rendakor on May 07, 2014, 07:52:36 PM South Park doesn't actually seem to be on sale. It's on the page but still priced at $59.99. Maybe a region thing?

They're having "Flash Sales" like Steam does. Maybe that's the reason South Park isn't on sale anymore because the Shadowrun games were on sale earlier, too. Title: Re: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: Cyrrex on May 07, 2014, 10:05:37 PM It does indeed appear they are doing flash sales, though they aren't doing a very good job of showing which ones are subject to it and which ones aren't. Unless they all are. It does say new deals at 10 am pacific time.
I like how Steam does this with the countdowns and the "yesterday's deals" in case you miss something. Title: Re: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: Hoax on May 08, 2014, 09:03:42 AM I don't remember it being this obvious when the sale started but you can now clearly see the flash sale. Its Saint's Row right now and it ends in 5 hrs. The sale price is orange and has a lightning bolt and there is a countdown on it.
Title: Re: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: Cyrrex on May 08, 2014, 10:42:32 AM Yeah, I am thinking they added it later. After the prices increased on a few things I wanted. :oh_i_see:
Title: Re: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: Ragnoros on May 09, 2014, 02:05:19 PM Threadjack: Steam has Bioshock Infinite for $10 bucks. Worth it?
Title: Re: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: schild on May 09, 2014, 03:36:43 PM Not really. Overrated bullshit.
Title: Re: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: Fabricated on May 09, 2014, 06:22:05 PM Threadjack: Steam has Bioshock Infinite for $10 bucks. Worth it? it's worth maybe a single playthrough but not one more than that, which is worse than I could say about Bioshock 1/2. $5-7 territory and not a penny more.Title: Re: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: Hawkbit on May 09, 2014, 11:06:18 PM I didn't finish it. In my opinion, save the cash and watch a walkthrough video of it while you play D3.
Title: Re: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: HaemishM on May 09, 2014, 11:37:53 PM I paid $8 for it a ways back and feel I got my money's worth. It's... special. A special brand of pretentious asshole, mind you. My test for whether to buy the game is to ask two questions:
1) Do you currently want to punch Ken Levine in the dick? 2) Would you like the answer to #1 to be yes? Also, Steam has the DLC on sale, but fuck paying $10 each for the DLC episodes. Those are $3.50/$5 at the most. Title: Re: Humble Store Spring Sale Post by: Cyrrex on May 18, 2014, 08:52:44 AM Haven't been holding super close eye on this, but State of Decay is now 10 bucks (and totally worth it at that price). Lego Marvel for 5 also seems super cheap if that's your sort of thing. Both Amnesia games super cheap as well.
