It's designed specifically record Steam games and seems to do that well (for me, at least, the forums are full of wailing). I'm confused by this thread. FRAPS still works just fine and dandy for screenshots, like it has for years. I still use it all the time. Not sure if it's better than FRAPS though... probably not.

GameClaw, DXtory, and some other tools are what some people have switched over to but they aren't really all that different from FRAPS. Hit ctrl while you do this also copies the dropbox public link to your clipboard.
