Title: Gimmick League Interest Check - FUMBBL
Post by: eldaec on December 12, 2013, 02:51:02 AM
I've never tried FUMBBL (https://fumbbl.com) before, but given the endless complaining we do about cyanide related issues, and as we really don't know where we might be left if/when BB2 happens, I figured it might be worth a try.

Features include 'being able to reconnect after a network problem', 'having the all the teams' and 'including the correct star player rosters'.

Make a post if you'd be interested in playing some (more) blood bowl, only in a shitty java client instead of a shitty cyanide client.

Staggering display of interest.

I'd actually been thinking about something along these lines for a while, if only to explore the various league management and customisation options.

If we get even six or so people, we could probably run a minileague of sorts - so count me in.

Yeah, I would do this.  I'm up for anything Blood Bowl.

I guess I'll try anything that has a better UI.

(I might miss being able to blame Cynaide for horrible mistakes, tho)

In my fiddling in a past life I wouldn't say that the FUMBBL UI is better in all regards. Maybe I'm just used to Cyanide now, though.

So with news slowly trickling out that BB2 might be coming out with eight races, do we still have some interest in going ahead with trying to run leagues through FUMBBL? I ask, because I don't see myself buying into BB2 if they turn out trying to do the same money-milking strategy.

I'm on vacation throughout Feb, but plan to kick a league off as soon as I get back.

i looked at fumbbl's UI b4 and spectated a few matches.
I cannot feel the energy from the game man.
I sound shallow but I really can't feel the 'THIS IS BLOODBOWL RAWR' atmosphere u know when it's just a tabletop grafix.
which is why i cannot into tabletop either.
my imagination is too shallow to invest in this probably.
