It's been a while since the end of Season 7 and so once again we can start looking forward to another round of yelling at the monitor, wondering why everyone else who plays seems to live on the other side of the planet and discussing just how bullshit, Cyanide's RNG really is.

Please read the following rules and then be sure to sign up by posting below. if you know people who might miss this thread please spam them with it until they finally relent and sign up.

The league will start in November. YOU MUST SIGN UP BY Nov 2nd.

Teams

You may enter a team of any race from either the Chaos Edition or Legendary Editions of the game.

If your team played its most recent match in any main f13 season (including playoffs and failoffs) or is a brand new team with no games played then it will automatically be accepted.
If your team played its most recent match in any other f13 league including gimmick leagues, feeder league etc then it will automatically be accepted as long as it meets the following requirements:

• Max TV of 1400. This includes cash reserves (on a 1k gold to 1 TV basis) and injured players.
• Minimum of 11 players on the roster (including injured players)

If your team has played in non f13 leagues then it must meet the above restrictions and will be vetted by me. I reserve the right to refuse signups that appear to have been farmed. This might mean that your entirely legit team with super lucky stat-ups gets unfairly rejected. C'est la vie.

You must post in this thread to sign up. Your post must include:

• Your team name, race, TV and cash reserves
• Your Steam name
• Your BB Coach name

You must join the f13 Bloodbowlers Steam group.

When the League Starts

The league will take the format of a championship tournament with a playoff and a failoff knockout competition after the main season.

Every player will play each other player in his or her division once.

The top players from each division will advance to the playoffs to battle for ULTIMATE GLORY

The bottom players from each division will be sent to a failoff gulag to bicker over who sucks the least.

The number of divisions and the number of players in each will be determined once signups are final and we know how many players we have.

In the event that we have more than 32 signups, existing f13 players will get priority with players from more recent seasons having a higher priority than players from older seasons. Beyond that I will devise some method for winnowing out the unworthy.

Each league day will last for 9 calendar days. Players are expected to arrange and play their games within this timeframe.

If a game hasn't been played by the deadline but has been scheduled then at my sole discretion I may extend the deadline. If a game hasn't been played and doesn't have a definite date scheduled or if it was scheduled for after the deadline and didn't happen then I will award a 0-0 draw.

Please do not wait until the last minute to schedule your games. Posting that you'll look out for each other on Steam does not constitute scheduling a game. Contact each other through the Steam group, make definite plans and post them here if they are likely to be close to or past the deadline.

The winner of each match must upload the results to BBManager. In a draw, either coach may do it as long as someone does. Matches that have not been uploaded will not be validated.

This lets other players download your games and replay them as well as letting us do all kinds of nifty stats analysis for each game and the league as a whole.

So we have an inauspicious number and I was rather hoping we'd get to 21. At that point I'd make three divisions of 8 and put one dummy team in each so that everyone gets a bye on one of the competition days. 19 isn't helpful at all. 20 isn't very useful either as then we have two divisions of 10 which makes for a long season it is doable however.

So if anyone is lurking and would like to play then pipe up now. Please note that 'would like to play' means that you are actively wanting to play and won't have to be coerced into finishing the season.

I'll give it a few more days and then start sorting out what to do. If no-one else signs up then I'll have to fuck about with odd sized divisions and open leagues which is entirely sub-optimal.

Note that the BB league management is about a billion times worse than the rest of the UI and it's not possible to have a regular league with an odd number of players.

If noone new comes forward I can sit out this season so you'll have 18 players (3 6-man divisions)

I'm not certain if I would qualify as a lurker per se, as I think I fit more of the 'up & vanished' description (apologies for those in the D&M Open btw, as, well, certain 'events' happened that made anything internet related very unimportant for a while). So, after a little coaxing from my dear RK that it's okay to come outside & play, I would like to be the 'plus one' if possible.

Team wise, I'm not sure that the Elves in the D&M are in a state to play again (can't afford to bring them to a min roster), but I do have a spare team of 'Zons that are below the TV limit (played in another league that no longer exists, and have access to all the match replays if needed). If that doesn't work, I can always make something new (which may be helpful as my blood-fu is more than a little off-kilter).
