Title: ~D&M Open~ Round 5/5 Post by: eldaec on October 09, 2013, 01:54:36 PM ROUND 5
This thing, it will be done. Table:
:drill: represents a point :uhrr: represents zero points so far +1 represents a game not yet played Games not yet played give you zero points for ranking, but one point for the purposes of determining the group you're in for fixtures, so :drill: +1 , would mean the team will be in the 2 point score group and will play a 2 point team in the next round. Ranking is Points > Points scored by opponents you have played > f13 ranking. Play these matches. (note : prior unplayed matches have been carried forward - it wasn't the orginal plan for this round - but it turned out it didn't really affect anything to leave them open) The first 3 matches listed will directly affect the winner - so, play them. The others - at your discretion. Like all of these low intensity tournaments I don't expect every match will get played, so long as you had fun its nbd.
Results so far...

Megrim, make your time. We will do this thing. The weekend is best for me. Title: Re: ~D&M Open~ Round 5/5 Post by: eldaec on October 10, 2013, 05:53:09 AM You don't. Your +1 refers to the round 5 match.

Title: Re: ~D&M Open~ Round 5/5 Post by: swiftblade on October 11, 2013, 11:41:55 PM The Syners defeated the Coldfingers 3-0. But Red Grant the werewolf now has Block! Some dark elf bullshit combined with nuffle hating the undead in the first half won the day, good game though. Was very shocked that during the second half his flesh golem got the ball, caged up well and yet I managed to beat the crap out of his team. No idea how that happened! Title: Re: ~D&M Open~ Round 5/5 Post by: Teleku on October 13, 2013, 03:48:13 PM Ok, needless to say I haven't really taken part in this. It's due to a mix of apathy, busyness at work, a few vacations, the very inconvenient time zone I'm in, a ton of other games distracting me in my limited spare time, and my team being completely decimated by death and injuries the very first game. Just give a win to anybody who is suppose to play me. I'm never going to catch up with the games, and my way undeveloped team would get curb stomped against most of you at this point anyways.
Apologies for this, I didn't think I'd fall off the wagon so bad when I singed up.... Title: Re: ~D&M Open~ Round 5/5 Post by: eldaec on October 14, 2013, 09:33:31 AM It's no big deal - the aim of this is to keep BB turning over in a low stress situation without the iron clad ~serious business~ committment of the main league.
That said - if you able to get one or two games done to help fill out the rankings that would also be cool. Title: Re: ~D&M Open~ Round 5/5 Post by: Megrim on October 14, 2013, 05:43:10 PM Megrim is your PC operational? It is, but this weekend and week have been taken up with visiting relatives and work. However, I will try to make something happen. What GMT time-zone are you in? Title: Re: ~D&M Open~ Round 5/5 Post by: eldaec on October 18, 2013, 06:11:16 AM Magrathea - 2
Theorists - 0 Elves proved too elusive for the Chaos Theorists, Satael's team couldn't get enough of my guys off the pitch. First TD arose from a strip ball aided turnover plus a lucky bounce, then in the second half the elves just kept dancing. Well done to Satael and Swiftblade for finishing off all 5 matches. Title: Re: ~D&M Open~ Round 5/5 Post by: Megrim on November 23, 2013, 10:09:51 PM Would you believe it or not, a game actually got played!
The Centaurs of Attention went hat to elf with Illusions of Grandeur over the weekend. Many a block were thrown, and some elves were knocked over, but in the end, Illusions stalled out a Centaurs drive in the first half, ending 0 - 0 at the interval. A fizzled Wizard from the Centaurs gave the elves a few turns of running up and down the endzone before a Bull Centaur defensive blitz nearly cost them the TD. With only three or so turns left to play and 1 - 0 up, Illusions kicked deep, getting a Blitz! result on the dice, and committing three players to the deep kick. Not to be outdone, a Centaurs Hobgoblin escaped the trap and pitched a short pass to a Centaur, who broke his way deep into the elf backfield. Glory was denied to him however, as enough elves managed to catch up and knock the ball loose. In the end, it was Illusions of Grandeur 1 - 0 Centaurs of Attention Title: Re: ~D&M Open~ Round 5/5 Post by: stabby the mime on November 27, 2013, 04:25:54 PM ... wait, is this still a thing that's not finished and everything? :awesome_for_real:
Err, any chance I can still get one of my games in? Title: Re: ~D&M Open~ Round 5/5 Post by: eldaec on November 27, 2013, 11:26:43 PM Yes. Never stop playing blood bowl.

Title: Re: ~D&M Open~ Round 5/5 Post by: eldaec on February 14, 2014, 12:08:35 PM If you have a fixture listed above, you should play it.
If you do not have a fixture listed above, you should find another blood bowl player and play some feeder league blood bowl anyway. What I am saying, is never stop playing blood bowl. Any further questions? Title: Re: ~D&M Open~ Round 5/5 Post by: stabby the mime on February 14, 2014, 02:43:07 PM Hmm, good point, and I'm going to guess that Luckton's Fine Ladies are out of reach due to the current season (as well as the rules for afterwards), so it seems there is but one option:
HaemishM! Cupcakes & Turds, when can we organize a meeting between the two? :why_so_serious: Title: Re: ~D&M Open~ Round 5/5 Post by: Megrim on February 14, 2014, 09:55:13 PM Preeeeetty sure that if you update the rankings, I'm winning.
