Title: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: schild on September 13, 2013, 08:05:54 AM Brofellos and I will be streaming Machine for Pigs around 8:30 CST (so 9:30 EST) tonight, as well as talking about Theros.
Couldn't figure out anything better to do for Friday the 13th because I'm old and don't want to go out and drink myself to death. Title: Re: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: sickrubik on September 13, 2013, 08:45:46 AM Why not drink yourself to death while streaming Machine for Pigs?
Can we start a drinking game? Also, how are you streaming? Title: Re: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: Malakili on September 13, 2013, 08:58:50 AM I am assuming you'll be using the Drecktech channel?
Title: Re: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: schild on September 13, 2013, 09:06:02 AM We'll be streaming at twitch.tv/drecktech. Or you can just go to drecktech.com and it's on the frontpage.

Title: Re: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: Fabricated on September 13, 2013, 06:31:36 PM I wanted to be annoying and make your steam message popup come up during the stream repeatedly but you were smart enough to turn it off. Booooo.
Title: Re: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: Brofellos on September 13, 2013, 07:50:36 PM Ok bump this game we are going to play Paranormal
Title: Re: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: schild on September 13, 2013, 09:48:09 PM Amnesia was not a very good game. :(
Title: Re: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: Stormwaltz on September 13, 2013, 11:40:37 PM It did not seem to be, no.

Title: Re: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: schild on September 14, 2013, 08:11:50 AM That fucking bird.
So, I'm pretty sure that bird moving was the most notable thing that happened in the game in the first 90 minutes. In fact, the dolls in the first 30 seconds of Paranormal - which can't even be played all the way through - were scarier than anything in Amnesia. A shame, really. I think the biggest crime in Amnesia though, was the soundwork. Just, really really bad. Title: Re: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: Samwise on September 14, 2013, 10:58:54 AM I didn't even see you were doing this but did see you were playing Amnesia around the same time I was. I'll probably finish it but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who's not already a fan of the first one -- go play the first one instead.
Also I think I missed the bird. Is there a scary thing with a bird coming up? I'm just about to go into the church. (edit) On the soundwork, one thing that I noticed was interesting (but could have been executed much better) was a "loud noise scare" that was right in my left ear rather than being in a physical location. As in, I was really quick and spun around before the sound finished, and it stayed in my left ear as I turned. Which sort of spoiled the effect, but I thought the idea of having it be at right angles to whereever you happened to be looking so you'd have to spin around to look for the source was clever. I don't know if I've ever seen a game do that before, or maybe they've just done it better so I haven't noticed the trick. Title: Re: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: schild on September 14, 2013, 12:47:29 PM No, there's nothing scary.
As in, I played for like just shy of 90 minutes straight (probably like 85 minutes) and nothing was scary. Brofellos jumped once, I asked him what he jumped at and he said "I don't know." Edit: Seriously, Paranormal does basically all the sound stuff Amnesia was trying to do better. Also, it's totally incomplete so you don't even seem to be able to access your bed to go to the next day, which results in you getting killed when the camera runs out of battery power. Every time Paranormal gets updated, I might stream it. I really like it. Title: Re: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: schild on September 14, 2013, 01:31:11 PM FIGURED OUT HOW TO OPEN DOORS IN PARANORMAL
OH GOD Title: Re: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: Druzil on September 14, 2013, 08:17:20 PM Those Paranormal dolls are seriously creepy. Also, watching you attempt to play Surgeon Simulator was quite entertaining.
I'll go ahead and call Machine for Pigs Awful. I think Shadowgate had a more engaging story... and it even had an inventory! Title: Re: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: schild on September 14, 2013, 09:36:39 PM I will be playing Paranormal again, possibly tomorrow. Depends on showtimes for Riddick.
Title: Re: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: Lakov_Sanite on September 16, 2013, 06:42:31 PM Bought paranormal after reading this thread....
Fuuuuuuck you Schild, made me turn on the goddamn lights that I usually don't use in my dark hallway just getting up to take a piss. Title: Re: Streaming Machine for Pigs tonight Post by: schild on September 16, 2013, 07:01:12 PM Brofellos and I will be streaming Paranormal this Saturday. Possibly some other stuff. Might be an all-day stream. Especially if Hex Alpha drops (which it won't).
