The collective of f13 is better than the individual at finding cool games on the internet. If you've been watching the development of any game, can you post about it below and post a link to their website. The new iteration of f13 is something I'm calling The Infinite Calendar. Basically, any game the staff is interested in will get posted there. Once reviewed it'll either be removed or will stay on the page forever.

I still don't get the love for Braid.

Neither do I. The storytelling that everyone was fawning over was an active detriment to the experience as far as I am concerned.

As a game, Braid was fine. As a story it was basically crap and I didn't care at all and Blow getting pompous about it made me just want to slap him and remind him he makes fucking games.

Yes. The game will still be fun though. I just don't listen to him because it ruins it.

I think the mini-game A Dark Room (http://adarkroom.doublespeakgames.com/) is pretty interesting so far.

Why are arcade side-scrolling shooters making a comeback? Didn't we already peak with Metal Slug 3? (I'm half-kidding, I'm more talking specifically about retro looking ones, there's still a lot of room for dev in sidescrolling shooters/contralikes).

This makes me want to play Antiquity followed by Age of Empires.

Maybe retro-Commando-clones will be the next hot thing.

Kind of weird, sort of A Tale in the Desert but single-player and permadeath/hard mode (you die, you start over from scratch).
