Title: SS2 : System Shock 2 now on Steam
Post by: luckton on May 10, 2013, 11:42:24 AM
Yeah, yeah, I'm sure everyone already got their copy off GOG.com, but for those that are Steam-devout, SS2 is now available.

And on sale until the 17th. I've been waiting until it goes on sale, so come payday - it will be mine.

This was just re-released today on Steam.  I have great memories of this game and its one of my all time favourites.  Not sure how its going to hold up graphically today, though.

Edit: I didn't see the other thread about this.  Mods can lock this if they want.

How does it look/feel/play on steam and a modern PC? Widescreen support?

The GoG one was really smooth and, as I said before, makes me miss the clean design of visuals from back then.

However I hear in the steam version, Multiplay was removed.

Co-op was patched back soon after release I believe. At least the tab is there now.

My understanding is this is the GoG one, they had an exclusive period.

Can you mod the steam version?
