Man, when I was a kid, this guy used to have me in tears with his improv stuff. And I do remember those episodes of Mork & Mindy with him, though it felt like M&M had jumped the shark when he was introduced. His improv routines though...

Really underrated by people my age and younger, his stuff is well worth digging up.

My first exposure to him was Mork & Mindy and while the show had SOOOOO jumped the shark by then, he made it hilarious again. He was just out there funny.

Not only did we lose JW, but two legendary coaches in WA- Marv Harshman (UW basketball), and Frosty Westering (PLU football). At least they were all all 85+ and had a good run but still :cry:

He had the odd serious role as well, lik in this 1961 episode of the Twilight zone "A Game of pool"

They also made a remake of "A game of pool"  and this youtube compares the highlights. Interesting to watch it, especially as they changed the ending and both endings work.
