I arrived too late to see most of the movies on the screen today with the girlfriend, so this was the only film we could see. So we decided sod it and paid our money and sat down.

Much to our surprise we both thought it was really good. Ian McShane is always watchable, and the principle actors were nowhere near as annoying as Kiara Knightly and Legolas. And the effects on the Giants were brilliant. All the supporting actors did a really good job and the action was a lot of fun. A simple story, well told. It got a thumbs up from the female half of the jury as well.

I was interested in seeing this. 

Unfortunately not many were.  I guess this is a bomb of John Carter proportions.
