Title: BlizzCon 2013 Post by: Nonentity on March 20, 2013, 03:27:07 PM http://us.battle.net/blizzcon/en/blog/8713023/BlizzCon_2013_Storms_Anaheim_November_8-9-2_19_2013
Anyone coming out this year? I can't imagine they're ready to announce Titan yet, so I'm predicting the next WoW Expansion along with.... the Diablo expansion? Too early? Title: Re: BlizzCon 2013 Post by: Ingmar on March 20, 2013, 04:57:59 PM Probably not this year, but you never know, I might change my mind by the time the ticket stampede happens.
Title: Re: BlizzCon 2013 Post by: Nonentity on April 04, 2013, 10:00:25 AM Quote Mark your calendars—a Blizzard is coming to Southern California! Tickets for BlizzCon® 2013 will go on sale in two batches on Wednesday, April 24 at 7 p.m. PDT and Saturday, April 27 at 10 a.m. PDT through the official BlizzCon website. In addition, a limited number of tickets to an exclusive pre-BlizzCon Benefit Dinner will go on sale Wednesday, May 1 at 7 p.m. PDT. Title: Re: BlizzCon 2013 Post by: schild on April 04, 2013, 10:21:49 AM So, out of curiosity, why would anyone (from f13) go to Blizzcon this year:
1. No one seems to like where Diablo 3 went. 2. Everyone (at least here) is pretty much over WoW. 3. Their card game is hilariously dumb. 4. Do people here play SCII? Title: Re: BlizzCon 2013 Post by: Merusk on April 04, 2013, 10:24:27 AM For the swag? Chance to buy hilariously overpriced Blizzard-Brand goods? It's the only place to buy this year's Blizzard Beer-Stein?
Then again those were the only reasons I saw to go in the past, too. Title: Re: BlizzCon 2013 Post by: Nonentity on April 04, 2013, 11:03:44 AM I mainly go to hang out and drink with people I know. It's not exactly a long drive for me, so it works out.
The whole Blizzard song-and-dance is whatever. I like watching the last Starcraft match and the costume contest, that's about it. Title: Re: BlizzCon 2013 Post by: Ingmar on April 04, 2013, 12:27:02 PM For me, it's an excuse to drive down the coast, visit friends along the way, see my sister in the OC, etc. But yeah with my current level of Blizzard game participation it probably isn't worth the money (despite the fact that I'm one of the few here who like D3.)

Hearthstone is a known quantity. Too soon for a Starcraft xpack. Ladies and gentlemen, nothing but a WoW expansion. Maybe Blizzard All-Stars (BAllS) Title: Re: BlizzCon 2013 Post by: schild on August 14, 2013, 04:03:23 PM I didn't know Balls was still a thing. Dumb. They can't compete with Valve. Never could really.
Title: Re: BlizzCon 2013 Post by: Ingmar on August 14, 2013, 05:04:50 PM I'm not sure you should underestimate the I WANT TO BE THRALL people. They'll find a niche.
Title: Re: BlizzCon 2013 Post by: Fordel on August 14, 2013, 06:39:56 PM I'm very sure they will fuck up the balance utterly though. :why_so_serious:
Title: Re: BlizzCon 2013 Post by: luckton on August 15, 2013, 05:24:19 AM They did say they were exploring the possibility of adding MOBA-style gameplay to WoW. I imagine that'll be one of the big things too.
