The best fornia!

Man, new years on the east coast sucks.  I'm use to watching everybody in the worlds new years celebration happen every hour until mine (nobody cares about Hawaii).  You have to stay up late to watch the rest of the nations!

Also, wtf was going on in New York.  We didn't have the sound on, but Jenny McCarthy seriously looked like she was doing some spectacular drugs all night long.  It was all so very weird.  Dick Clark dies and it all goes to hell!

It's funny, I had a discussion today about how NYE in CA kinda sucks. Everyone seems sort of "whatever" about it here, and I sort of assumed it's because they're basically last (as you say, no one cares about Hawaii). I guess it's what you know!

I spent the evening all by myself with some Nyquil, as my head has decided to fill entirely with snot. We were supposed to go up to Ingmar's parents for New Year's, so I sent him off on his own. Not the best New Year's Eve I've had.

It really depends upon with what you mix the NyQuil.

NyQuil doesn't have a decongestant in it so if you were trying to unstuff your snot nose you were using the wrong thing

It was going to hell before he died.  And Jenny McCarthy has looked that crazy for years, ever since she became a 'scientist' and started warning people about immunization.  As I said last night before deciding not to watch anymore, fuck her.

Oh and happy new year, I guess.

  Hope everyone who's sick doesn't die.    I'd miss them.  My new year's eve was fine.  I took an extra sleeping pill and fell asleep by 10.  First time in two weeks I've had more than four hours sleep all at once.  I'm now getting ready to not watch the Mummers.  It doesn't get better than that.

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope we all have an excellent 2013 -  especially Sjofn and her head full of snot.

Happy New Year, F13!!

And we only turn on the TV to watch the damn ball drop, the rest of those celebrations are worthless, unless you want to watch Jenny McCarthy grabbing anyone with a dick and holding on tight.  She's just crazy.  We spent the rest of the evening watch Amish Mafia, which is equal parts interesting (learning more about Amish life) and hilarious (really?  Amish with Mercedes and high powered rifles?), especially if you watch the special broadcasts with the tweets and info blurbs added.

I'll have to see if I can really do this, but 2013 should be the year of self-improvement.  I'm going to try running for at least fifteen minutes each night, or whatever it takes to stop looking like Dale Gribble.  I will also try very hard to get a couple SUSE certs in the spring (challenge is in sitting down to study and scheduling the test, not the material).  I would like to learn some HPUX before fall.  Might go to the IBM conference, too.  Other side items might include python or even another stab at C#.

Hopefully work won't get in the way of all this personal development.
