Title: Robot Chicken Post by: Llava on February 20, 2005, 11:55:36 PM It premiered today. I liked it. It wasn't amazing, but it was pretty entertaining. I laughed out loud.
In related news, I really didn't think that the Seth Green who does the voice of Chris on Family Guy was the same Seth Green we know from Buffy and Austin Powers. But it is. And he co-created this show. Huh. Anyways. Anyone else watch it? Other opinions? Title: Re: Robot Chicken Post by: Abagadro on February 21, 2005, 12:06:42 AM For some odd reason the Cylon calamaties made me laugh.
Title: Re: Robot Chicken Post by: Signe on February 21, 2005, 12:09:58 AM I'd offer an opinion except I don't know what you're talking about. :?
Title: Re: Robot Chicken Post by: stray on February 21, 2005, 12:13:18 AM A new Adult Swim show.
Unfortunately, I forgot all about it. I got distracted by the NBA All Star Game, among other things (btw, worst half time show in the history of sports ever). Looks like it's replaying Thursday night though (btw everyone, watch the Venture Bros. as well :-)) Title: Re: Robot Chicken Post by: Signe on February 21, 2005, 12:18:13 AM Oh, ok... I've never even heard of it. I'll try to remember to watch all this stuff someday.
Title: Re: Robot Chicken Post by: Llava on February 21, 2005, 12:30:47 AM For some odd reason the Cylon calamaties made me laugh. If that's what I think it is (guys in clunky armor smashing into stuff) I was surprised to laugh at some of those too. Two that especially got me: The one who mysteriously falls from above, the one headed toward the banana peel. Also laughed at the girl hitting the dog with the frying pan. Should point out now for those who don't know- this is all done with action figures... no dog was hit with a frying pan. Title: Re: Robot Chicken Post by: HaemishM on February 21, 2005, 08:44:03 AM Robot Chicken was awesome. Much laughter ensued. Apparently, Seth Green is big time into the show, even doing some directing, set-building, whatever. He's not just that guy from Buffy. :)

Title: Re: Robot Chicken Post by: Fabricated on February 21, 2005, 11:52:31 AM I believe I laughed the most at the part where the Scarecrow gets shanked in prison.
Title: Re: Robot Chicken Post by: geldonyetich on February 21, 2005, 01:40:04 PM Low humor, but first rate all the same. It coaxed much more laughter than remorse out of me. Helps they use action figures, which are fun to disfigure by default.
Title: Re: Robot Chicken Post by: sidereal on February 21, 2005, 02:21:11 PM Thought it tried too hard in spots, but had good moments. 'Oz' was hilarious. I thought the 'unfair fights' segment was hilarious. Not a bad way to spend 15 minutes.
Title: Re: Robot Chicken Post by: Llava on February 21, 2005, 09:11:54 PM That's right! I forgot about the "World's Most One-Sided Fist Fights!" segment. I cracked up at that.
Title: Re: Robot Chicken Post by: schild on February 22, 2005, 02:28:55 AM Best 3 scenes:
Bo & Luke can't get their shit in order. Lil' Kirk getting stuck in an elevator door. The Cylons. Fucking good show, can't wait for more. Title: Re: Robot Chicken Post by: schild on February 28, 2005, 10:44:49 AM The new episode is MUCH funnier. Voltron getting served and secrets of the animal kingdom are hilarious. The mongoose I have for an avatar is from it, as well as the greatest line ever spoken on cartoon network "Truly, the lemming is nature's retard."
Title: Re: Robot Chicken Post by: HaemishM on February 28, 2005, 12:00:51 PM I liked the first episode better, but the Voltron getting served was great.
Title: Re: Robot Chicken Post by: Shavnir on February 28, 2005, 02:03:14 PM Do they replay them at all during the week? I'm at work when it first airs.

The Mongoose: Nature's Assassin The Hyena: Nature's Asshole The Lemming: Nature's Retard Title: Re: Robot Chicken Post by: schild on March 01, 2005, 11:49:31 AM I would have an avatar of the lemmings, but I couldn't get a good screenshot.

Wickedly funny. Loved the Voltron got served bit. And the spin off of the heroin commercial got a good laugh out of me.
