The red one.

I was just going to go with the most expensive, but ++thread.

Coincidentally the Red one is also the most expensive one, a Ferrari AND Car & Driver's 2011 car of the year.

I think the choice is made and you're just bragging now.

Personally, I would take the Audi just to see if it actually lives up to the hype. However, without a frame a reference in driving any of the other beasts on that site... Pick the Lamborghini - Saying you have driven a Lamborghini is slightly higher on the prestige list than the others. Talking to guys, the Ferrari stands out, but to impress the ladies... do with the Lambo.

I'm not bragging, actually, but I can see that angle.  Apologies.  To be honest, $419 will buy a lot of gyros and my wife is already telling me "we" have to start saving hardcore if we are going on the vacation in question.  My wife wants me to do it, though, since she knows I love cars almost as much as I love driving fast.  If I were going to brag, I'd talk about my own car.

Anyway, since I am tasked with determining which car would be the most fun to drive and that might not be the most expensive, due to this being a one-time thing and all, wanted to get some opinions even if they were silly.  Because, who doesn't love cars?

As for the Audi, I'd try it if I would be doing this more than once.  I'm acting like I did when I was broke, agonizing over the menu at Applebee's since I didn't know when I would be able to eat there again.

How long do you get the car for?  Is the wife going with?  Feel where I'm goin with this?     Maybe find an exoticcar company that'll let you keep it 24hrs (I kept a Viper RT10 once this way).
Regardless, the Lambo is the one you want to drive.  Ferrari's have a bit of a douchebag appeal.  Im an Audi man though, and would say drive the A8 if you had a desire to ever own a supercar within a normal man's budget.  (that car can be had <$100k).

I'd drive the cheaper Lambo so I can come to realize they are really way over priced.

I have no intention of ever owning any of these. :oh_i_see:

I think I am seeing that the Porsche 997 will out-accelerate the LP560.  But there's a LP570, and I'm thinking that might be the one.

Gotta go Ferrari - always.  The Lam is tempting, though.

Enhance your calm, I was just giving you shit.  This has looked awesome since I first saw it advertised at Disney and you have to let us know how it goes.

Being Disney, I'm going to guess videos, etc are an arm and a leg.  If you're going to buy those then think smaller and go with the Porche.  If not, I'd go all out on the Ferarri.  While I've always thought they look better, I've also always heard that Lambos handle like shit.   A road & track article I found on Google comparing those exact two cars gives the advantage to Lambo on the track, though.

Ferrari all the way - handles better than the Lambo, and they just sound better.

Because when I choose a sportscar that costs more than what I make in a year, I choose the cool sounding one.   :awesome_for_real:

I'd kill to be the Top Gear chaps.

Voting LP570 as well.  The 4WD should help notably with traction and handling in general.

Yeah, the 997 is not the Turbo, so fuck that shit. :why_so_serious:

Edit: Wife says I get two cars.  A8 and LP570 are my choices, for aforementioned reasons.

Independent friends confirm the Ferrari is the Douchebag Car.  Also there is dislike in some sectors due to Carrol and Enzo having fights.  And and and... Lamborghini started out making tractors, which I find to be a more noble beginning.

Thats the R8, not the A8. Big difference.

How much track experience do you have?

When you're talking about a set of cars that all have sub-4 second 0-60 times and handle well enough to compete (at low level) competitions without modification, then yeah, the cool sounding one is a valid distinction.

I mean, shit eating grins are what it's all about.

Out of the list there, the Porsche and the Audi are the most driver friendly and the least likely to kill you.

The Lambo is a beast, a big magnificent beast. That being said the 458 is dead sexy and (according to the top gear guys) is the one to pick.

If I had the type of money that one requires to own these types of cars, id be buying myself a 458 Italia

Very none.  I just drive fast on the interstates/county roads/Atlanta streets.  They don't just toss you the keys to these things after you sign the waiver, so it's OK.

Out of the list there, the Porsche and the Audi are the most driver friendly and the least likely to kill you.

We seem to have different preferences.
