I live literally across the street from the building the Jeffersons "moved on up" to. People around here even call it "The Jefferson Building", which is better than the number and street it's named after.

George, you will be missed.

Saw this link come up in a Fark thread, and it brought a smile to my face. I identified Helmsley almost entirely with the Jeffersons, as I really didn't "get" All in the Family as a kid. This clip is some pretty classic interaction with Helmsley and O'Connor.
