Title: Online Dating: Still terrifying
Post by: Raging Turtle on June 17, 2012, 06:54:39 PM
Considering necroing the old thread, but after 37 pages I figured it was time to let it die.

I'm a big supporter of online dating for just about everyone, but damn, there are some terrifying people out there.  More so if you're a woman.  However, at least the internet makes it possible to laugh at these people.

http://ihavewastedmylife.tumblr.com/ (http://ihavewastedmylife.tumblr.com/) - some NSFW Text

Several women document the messages they get from guys on OkCupid.  Both hilarious and scary.

http://okcenemies.tumblr.com/ (http://okcenemies.tumblr.com/) NSFW due to partial nudeness (well, mostly shirtless guys) and large text.

OkCupid makes it possible to search for people with your highest 'enemy' rating, instead of match rating. Post some of their profile over their pictures, and you have this website.
A few of the tamer examples:

NSFW (and mildy disturbing):

And who the fuck doesn't like pajamas?

I hate them.  Uncomfortable things that twist all around you at night. Bleh.

I'm still trying to figure out the sheep part of that sentence.

Am I the only one really REALLY hoping that guy becomes an airplane?

Man just wants to fly.

They're not for sleeping in, they're for wandering around the house before and after bed.

That's what underwear is for.

I find pajamas to be one of the most irritating things ever invented.  I second the notion that they are hot, twist up and are generally uncomfortable when you try to sleep in them.  As for lounging around, I would rather wear a pair of shorts or, as Nebu noted, a pair of boxer shorts.  My wife's family has this tradition that everyone wears matching PJs on Christmas day.  I dread it.

Sweat shorts (or full sweats in the winter) and a t-shirt.

But then most of the cloth of men's pajamas seems to be some sort of irritating cotton or wool that just isn't comfortable.  My attitude might change if I could wear smooth silk or satin without feeling a little weird.

I'm wearing a pair of flannel PJ pants with big UGA logos on them as we speak.

They are great for a day off around the house, cleaning, cooking, and lounging. People that don't enjoy that are odd.

You are both correct. At home, I'm wearing flannel pajamas 95% of the time, unless its really hot, then its shorts.

Never sleep in them though.

Old T-shirt and Gym shorts for both wandering around the house and sleeping.  Never really understood the need for actual PJ's.

Hmmm.  Computer gaming forum with a topic of online dating.  Nothing could go wrong, I'm sure.   :awesome_for_real:

With the exception of button down shirts and shoes/socks.  What I wore today = what I sleep in tonight.  I think it's a leftover from when I was homeless for a year.

If I had my finger on the button to fire our nuclear arsenal, around page 5 of the Cupid Enemies blog I would fire it without hesitation.

I'm convinced that these idiots on the OKCupid Enemies blog have to be at least 50% fakers just doing it for a laugh.

That has to be a hoax, but it would be awesome if Frank Chu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Chu) actually had an okcupid account.
