I remember when we first moved to the Jackson area around '84, the same kind of shit was happening enough that my Mom was real reluctant to pull over for an actual cop when she got a speeding ticket. Wouldn't let her window down at all.

You could leave a body there, fully clothed - hell, fitted with kevlar armor - and in two weeks the animals would have picked it clean to the point that you couldn't even positively ID it by dental records. West Texas is big, empty, and more than mildly terrifying. But in a Pitch Black featuring Vin Diesel sort of way.

They used to regularly find dead Mexicans on their ranch. One they found about 15 yards from the pool. That's some creepy shit.
