Title: Carroll Shelby, 1923-2012
Post by: Minvaren on May 11, 2012, 03:39:53 PM
Linky (http://money.cnn.com//2012/05/11/autos/carroll-shelby-obit/index.htm).

I preferred import to domestic cars growing up, but even so, it's hard to overstate his influence on racing and autos in general.

Even a car n00b like myself knows his name. That is a pretty good testament to his impact. RIP.

In high school, this guy was my savior for domestic cars. Sad passing...

When I bought my Mustang they had a 2002 Shelby Cobra with 5000 miles on it for sale.  They were just asking like 7k more than i was willing to go.  :( :heartbreak:
