Title: Lockout Post by: schild on April 19, 2012, 02:33:31 PM So bad. Don't see it.

Title: Re: Lockout Post by: schild on April 19, 2012, 02:51:54 PM Guy Pearce is 100% more entertaining than Statham in everything he's ever done. Also this had Peter Stormare.
That doesn't mean either one is worth watching. Title: Re: Lockout Post by: luckton on April 19, 2012, 03:02:47 PM Guy Pearce is 100% more entertaining than Statham in everything he's ever done. Also this had Peter Stormare. That doesn't mean either one is worth watching. Well of course. I was just speaking in relative overall movie terms, sans the actors, producers, etc. I admit that I'll pop on a Statham-flick for the ridiculous lulz (such as being able to ramp a car over a wreck yard, flip the car in a spiral in order to have the crane hook grab the bomb attached to the bottom of the car off, land the car back on all four tires without a crash, and ride off into the distance while the bomb explodes beyond him :why_so_serious: :drill:), but is this movie about on the same level? Title: Re: Lockout Post by: schild on April 19, 2012, 03:13:22 PM So, the only Statham movie I'll allow to be called "popcorn-worthy" is Crank - which was provably good in terms of brainless action flicks.
This is not provably good. There is no reason whatsoever to watch this, over say - the opera scene in Fifth Element on loop for 90 minutes. Title: Re: Lockout Post by: K9 on April 19, 2012, 04:05:24 PM Statham hasn't done anything good since Snatch really.
The Expendables perhaps, in a raw schlock type of way Title: Re: Lockout Post by: Sheepherder on April 19, 2012, 09:26:25 PM perhaps Need I remind you of the automatic shotgun that fires HE rounds? Title: Re: Lockout Post by: SurfD on April 19, 2012, 11:28:02 PM perhaps Need I remind you of the automatic shotgun that fires HE rounds? Also, I second Schild, Lockout was pretty much dreck. Title: Re: Lockout Post by: K9 on April 20, 2012, 02:29:18 AM perhaps Need I remind you of the automatic shotgun that fires HE rounds? That was a satisfying moment of cinema right there. Title: Re: Lockout Post by: DraconianOne on April 20, 2012, 03:44:41 AM Statham hasn't done anything good since Kelly Brook really. The best part? Those are real. (http://www.gizmag.com/aa-12-combat-shotgun-frag-12-automatic/11393/picture/74149/) Now there's a copywriter who loves their job: Quote Assault rifles are all well and good, but when you really need to tear a person to pieces, nothing fills the air with metal quite like a combat shotgun. And for those times when a regular combat shotgun isn't generating enough flying body parts, connoisseurs turn to what must be the most outrageously devastating hand-held anti-personnel murder machine in existence: the Atchisson Assault Shotgun, or AA-12. |
