Title: NFL.com Playoff Fantasy Game
Post by: shiznitz on January 03, 2012, 09:41:58 AM
If anyone is interested, I am setting up a league.   Details to follow.  I have no idea if this is good.

League name: F13dotnet
Password: schild

I don't see a limit on # of teams.  There is no draft.  It looks like your picks are a secret until game day.  You can change your players every week.  You get bonuses for sticking with a player over time so those who take players on winning teams will do better.

If you cannot find the league by searching, then I have to do invites by email.  I hope it doesn't come to that.

In as the Canton Ratbirds - god knows I can't do any worse than I did in regular fantasy.

Not if you pick Packers this week....

I'm in.  Kinda wonder if a lot of the picks won't end up being close to identical.  Of course, it often goes that way in Pick Em leagues, so oh well.

Only 5 people?  C'mon guys!  We had 28 plying FFL this year.

Given the point stacking mechanic, Haemish will be hard to beat.

Well, I did take Brees out as my QB because he's going up against the Niners - though he will probably continue being a points buffet.

I still stand in awe that somehow taking the Steelers defense vs TIM GOD DAMN TEBOW got me all of -2 points.   Seriously, we're all actually dead now, and this is some type of bizarro world right?

The apocalypse is even now flying to us on black wings of death.

Me too. Should have gone with the next best D, the Texans.

This game is mildly interesting, only because of the compounding power of sticking with a player.  Nicks is worth 3x for me this weekend!

Yeah, the points stacking mechanic gives it a nice twist. Of course, all but 2 of my players were eliminated, so I'm fucked.

I think I have a good chance of winning unless the Giants and Pats advance.

Had the Saints won last weekend, I think I might have ended up running away with this.  Now?  Too much of a motely crew left, and only three holdovers.  And I'm not putting all my eggs in a basket (maybe I should...) so I won't get many holdovers for the SB round either.

Yes, kind of interesting after all, this.

I am 79 points behind.  I get 2x from Eli, 3x from Welker and 4x from Hakeem Nicks for SB 46.
