He will be handsome and get all the ladies (and also all the guys once they patch the gay in PLEASE PATCH THE GAY IN BIOWARE). He will also probably be a useless DPS FOREVAR spec.  :why_so_serious:

I'm planning on going Imperial Agent - no name chosen yet though.

I was leaning towards Imperial Agent early on when it seemed like they were going to be the underused class.  Now I'm leaning towards Sith Warrior (Juggernaut) after having played the first 5 levels of that class today, but still not entirely decided.

Sith Inky;  I like to heal and the Bodyguard BH 'healing bullets' conceptually mystifies me.  But the ability to heal and wear heavy armor is...tempting.

Probably playing a bounty hunter that shoots death and/or healing missiles.  I haven't played the beta in for-ev-er, so I'm not too sure.  Don't think I will be wielding a light saber.

I wasn't GONNA wield a lightsaber (at first, I always knew I'd play them all eventually, because ... I'm crazy), but apparently a tiny part of me always wanted to wave one around while bouncing rocks and urns and old droids off of people's faces. What I find amusing about myself is force lightning? Not as satisfying. It lacks weight or something. So my inquisitor will probably be a double-bladed saber chick who cannot believe how fucking crazy all the other sith are.  :why_so_serious:

I haven't picked a name for my Imperial Agent guy, I'll probably name him something boring.

I'll be starting with a BH too. Probably use Viin for the name, but may fall back on nostalgia and use my SWG BH moniker.

Now I'm not so sure about an Inky.  They are squishy and I'm dying a lot.

I'll be playing a Male booty hunter until they patch in the gay.

I'll be playing all of them eventually, but I'll probably start with an Inquisitor.  Not sure on what type though.  I've been playing a Consular, and sage seemed fun.  But going melee sounds fun too. 

I'll have all of them.  I also have names already chosen...  Sorcerer will be my primary Imperial.

Probably rolling a BH first since that was what I was for most of my time in swg.  That and its incredibly fun to play, with the rocket launchers, flame throwers and jet packs.  Not sure what spec I'll be playing.  Next class would be the Sith Inq. because of the lightning attacks and the chance to sort of play as a bad guy.

Ok, my guild toon will be a BH/Mercenary/Bodyguard.  Healers for the win.  "You're hurt! Hold on let me shoot you!"

At the rate things are going, I may fall on the grenade and roll a Sith Sword Swinger just to bring some balance to the group :P

I played a few more levels of Sith Warrior and am liking it to the point that I'm going with that for launch.  Might mess around with the Bounty Hunter a bit tomorrow, because with the number of people we have going that route, I think it's going to be a long time before I'll want to bother playing one after the game goes live.

Most likely Inquisitor > Sorcerer.  I tried the whole sword swinging tank thing, and found it to be a massive pita with all the ranged dps shooting up the room.

Finally managed to apply for the guild, prob. going to be playing a sorcerer first, agent and juggernaut (dps) are next on the list.

I'll probably be spending roughly equal time on a Sith Warrior and BH Mercenary.

Planning on starting as Warrior, mostly because its the opposite of what I usually play.

I'm still toying with the idea of naming mine Bossk Hogg, even though he can't be a Trandoshan. Which would make my account family name Hogg. So maybe not.

I played a Sith Inq. to level 15 today (the only day this weekend in which I wasn't working for had family obligations  :awesome_for_real:).

I think I'll be playing one of those instead.  Emo as hell, but the LS options you get work with you to still be ebil.  :drill:

I'll be going Sith Juggernuts. I did love the BH and Mako as the healbot pet was incredible, but the Fury wins out over the Mantis. I'll deal with Vette ...for now.

As a reminder: the pre-launch guild thing ends Friday. Since we're already set to be imported, it's not a huge deal if you intend to play in BC but aren't in the pre-launch guild, you just won't get the initial popups to join the server/guild/whatever. We'll publish server info here and you can just be added the old fashioned way.

That said, I still need folks to let me know if they're using non-f13 nicks on swtor.com if they want to sign up. I've declined a few and nobody bitched, so I'll assume those were random folks or lurkers who can't read. I have one pending invite for a ghostofmerlin, if that's ghost from here, sound off or forever suck up your declined invite. Until launch, anyway.

Undecided now.  I dislike the Melee heavy stuff, sorc first companion annoys me.  Bah, it's a secret to everybody!

I feel the same.  Plus I'm still really enjoying Skyrim.  Wish they'd spread these great games out over a year.

Yeah, I still am only about 12 hours into Skyrim and loving it, have Arkham City to finish (and loving it) and have barely scratched the surface of Dark Souls (and loving it).  Skyward Sword will also be showing up in the mail soon, and I'm a sucker for that stuff.

On the bright side, I am taking both the 15th and 16th off of work!  My wife asked me why and I told her "try to think of the two dorkiest things about me" and she promptly replied "Star Wars and something to do with your computer".

I am signed up with three guilds at the moment, but I can only see myself leveling one toon at a time for now, and that will almost certainly be BC.  With my Sith Warrior Tank.  Or whatever class I decide to change to at the very last instant.

Yeah there is a non-zero chance I will suddenly whip around and be a swishy Manquisitor as my first BC character. But I'll PROBABLY just be a manwhore IA.

My biggest problem is still that I can't get over how fun the Trooper was to play.  I can't help but think "what if the Bounty Hunter is even better?!" and whatnot.

Determining the sex of my character usually (and sadly) comes down to whether or not I can make a really hot looking female toon, and let me just put this out there...SWTOR delivers on that front.  This time, I am determined to not fall prey to that trap and actually create a male toon.

For SWTOR it's more "which voice actor do I want to listen to FOREVER," and by and large the men are going to win that fight for me. Although with the consular, the fact she gets a fuckin' HAREM (three! THREE love interests to choose from!) helped her cause a GREAT DEAL.

Yeah, I haven't explored more than a couple of the classes, but the female Knight was pretty bland.  I look forward to playing a bad guy.

I liked the Knight's gameplay but the Consular's story and VO better. The light side consular is so exactly how I would be if I had jedi powers.

Dark side consular is freaking EVIL.  Makes the Emperor look like a snuggle bunny.  JK is just so bland at times - it's like the guy is on beta blockers and the largest dose of paxil ever.  The whole 'there is no emotion' thing is taken just a biiiiit too far. 

Chalk me up as a cyborg Imperial Agent Operative.  I'm an introverted transhumanist control phreak, so it suits me.  Plus, uhh... have you seen their starship?

Out of interest, is there anything stopping you getting a digital download key or simply importing a box? I play MMOs with US friends and tend to stick to US servers, but I live in the UK. Every MMO I've played (up till the release of SWtOR which finally realised you don't have to tie servers to region releases) with the exception of Guild Wars has been either an imported box or a download... there must be some way you can circumvent the lack of physical Australian release.

I know Az imports a ton of stuff from the UK.  The main thing is if billing will accept an Aussie credit card.

There's paypal and gamecards to get around that.

I figure most people probably at least have it in their heads whether they're planning on using their class to tank, heal, or DPS.  I can't imagine starting the game and just hoping you can make a decision sometime before your character hits level 10.

Hello Hello does anyone still play this? This thread hasn't been posted into for 3 months.

A friend of mine's wife gave me a registration code she had lying around at gamestop (I didn't ask) and so I got this game pretty much free. I know that 1.2 has been delayed and I joined at probably the worst time ever, but after a few false starts, rolling on a bunch of servers and having them all completely deserted and my real life friends getting bored with this game, I rolled an Inquisitor on Canderous Ordo, the most populous PvE server.

So far it's been a pretty OK experience and I'm level 18. Are any of you still alive somewhere on a server that isn't a wasteland?

Shien is a good server, though BC is pretty much dead at this point. Not surprising, as this is not WoW. Three months is about all you can expect for activity from BC. Also, there are a few folks playing ME3 right now.

The SLAP weirdos are usually on in the evening, I imagine that will last until the WoW expansion  :grin:
