Title: Re: Anne McCaffrey is dead Post by: Khaldun on November 26, 2011, 06:44:54 PM Really, the first two main Pern books hold up, the first two Harper books are fantastic for any teen feeling persecuted, the Ship Who Sang is still a great book, and even Decision at Doona is kind of good. She also wrote a weird rape fantasy short story that I remember being in the middle of a bunch otherwise pretty vanilla stuff including a Pern-series short about a kid who gets to be a dragonrider even though he's bullied. After that it all became pretty fanfic at best.
