Title: Re: The Lorax (2012) Post by: SurfD on October 27, 2011, 02:16:00 PM The live action DR S movie adaptions are argueablly skippable. However, the CGI ones have for the most part been fairly good. Horton Hears a Who was quite well done from what i remember.

I disapprove mightily. Title: Re: The Lorax (2012) Post by: luckton on July 29, 2012, 06:24:34 PM Just got done watching this. Good god...I can see how conservatives and libertarians would have flipped their lids over this movie. The book itself was, like Seuss' other books, a masterpiece. This one takes the book, cranks the message to 11, and then ramrods it in your face with the guilt.
I think the thing that disappointed me was that it didn't end like the book as a tragedy. No, they went and did a Scooby Doo ending, as if all the damage caused would just magically go away overnight. But whatever...the message was still strong, and compared to the other non-live action Seuss movies, I enjoyed it much. |
