Title: UFOs over London? Post by: Sand on July 12, 2011, 10:28:40 AM Saw this on Huffington Post a week ago. Havent heard anything about it since and havent seen any updates showing it to be a hoax.
Do any of our UK posters (Aurthur?) have any further info? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/06/29/london-ufos-multiple-peop_n_887030.html This isnt your typical shakey phone cam at 2am by a single person report. Supposedly multiple people caught the occurence on video in broad day light from multiple places in the city including over London Bridge. Quote While many of these types of UFO videos can often be easily written off, the emergence of two separate recordings of the same event could give you pause. Even more incredible is just how similar they seem. Both videos show a group of three white discs floating over the city, namely over the BBC building and Tower Bridge. Both were taken late last week, and in one of the videos you can see at least a few people looking up at the objects, adding some credibility to the cameraman. In one video you see the object take off at high speed and hear the sonic boom just after. Title: Re: UFOs over London? Title: Re: UFOs over London? Post by: Tale on July 12, 2011, 10:51:24 PM It's from a couple of weeks ago. It was exposed as a hoax done in a production studio, when someone spotted that one of the "distant UFOs" crosses in front of a nearby building. I suspect it may be a viral promotion for an unannounced movie.

I know that just around the corner from Kiko's cafe is a VFX house - EDIT: It's on Clipstone St, where The Mill (responsible for lots of BBC TV VFX like Dr Who, Merlin etc) have offices. Double Negative have an office on Mortimer St, a couple of roads down. EDIT 2: Tale's link has full info. Nothing to see here, move along. Move along. Title: Re: UFOs over London? Cylon Raider or algae? (http://www.news.com.au/technology/sci-tech/cylon-raider-or-algae-swedish-booze-hunters-may-have-made-the-ufo-find-of-the-century/story-fn5fsgyc-1226098833887) Quote At 87m down, between Sweden and Finland, they saw a large circle, about 60 feet in diameter," he told local media last week. "You see a lot of weird stuff in this job but during my 18 years as a professional I have never seen anything like this. "The shape is completely round … a circle." Mr Lindberg said the team has also noted what they say could possibly be tracks running some 300m up to where the disc lies. The wreck files: Have scientists found a crashed flying saucer on the seabed? (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2021174/Have-scientists-crashed-flying-saucer-seabed.html) Quote The 'discovery' has sparked a flurry of speculation by UFO watchers and bloggers. Some have even suggested it resembles the Millennium Falcon from the Star Wars series, with its distinctive front forks and round shape. Newspapers in Sweden have put the story on their front pages and asked if this is really the first sign of extra-terrestrial life. The shape was found at the bottom of the Gulf of Bothnia during a search for a sunken wreck which contained several cases of champagne.
