Took ages to load up. 4-8 times I closed in disgust thinking it crashed. Then I waited ...it loaded up 1 minute later... Windows 7 - Office 2003. I checked online for any solutions and found many ppl facing the same issues but no solutions. Disabled anti-virus - no help Reinstalled - no improvement :( Title: Re: Shit, what happened to my excel? Seems to be related to their network profile, as it follows them from PC to PC. Might want to try logging on the PC as a different user to see if it still happens.

Usually it happens when an included .dot file in the document or a macro points to an obsolete network path. Office then tries to load the file until the network timeout (usually a few minutes) and then opens it. Title: Re: Shit, what happened to my excel? If you're trying to fix this in an XP environment, just GPO logon/logoff script msiexec to uninstall the package. Little else works given tools and default registry permissions. I think I might have broken something...excel document shortcuts no longer work. I have to open excel n open the docs....wtf.. noticed it was loading a diff version of excel too...since its missing its 'tools > options' menu... what . the . fuck.
