Title: Yes Minister
Post by: K9 on March 23, 2011, 04:33:52 PM
I nabbed the box set of all five series off my folks and I've been working through it.

It's not laugh-out-loud funny, but the depth of the satire is impressive. What is chilling is how true so much of the observations still ring.

It's one of my favourite shows ever, as accurate today as it was then.

Loving both this and Yes Prime Minister. Holds up good over time, and still true.

Have to agree, it was a brilliant show. Takes great writing and acting to make a compelling show were 90% of the series occurs in two rooms with three characters. Always wondered how well it went over in the states.

I've only ever seen a few episodes, but it was goddamn brilliant from what I remember.
