Title: North Texas/Texas F13ers, Gorilla Challenge 3/19/2011? Post by: Nerf on March 05, 2011, 11:21:18 PM So I got emailed this (http://www.groupon.com/deals/gorilla-challenge-dallas-1?utm_campaign=gorilla-challenge-dallas-1&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&c=title&addx=socwise@gmail.com&utm_content=dallas_feed&user=socwise@gmail.com&divison=dallas&d=deal&s=featured_deal&date=20110305) link today, for $25 admission for the Gorilla Challenge. Apparently it's a scavenger hunt, on foot in downtown Dallas, where you have to solve a dozen google-able clues and take pictures of shit.
Anyone up for this? I'm 100% sure I can convince Stef to join in, but an actual team of 3-5 people would let us be a lot more competitive than just the pair. Grand prize is $500, and apparently prizes like free iPods and shit are handed out throughout the event (my guess would be to the first team to solve a certain clue, there are 12, takes 10 to win) ..On a completely unrelated note, how effective and at what kind of radius are current cellphone signal scramblers? This is a purely hypothetical question, and I have no intentions of violating any FCC regulations. Title: Re: North Texas/Texas F13ers, Gorilla Challenge 3/19/2011? Post by: Ghambit on March 08, 2011, 06:01:43 PM You dont jam them, you 'intercept' them and route them at will (the blackrobe phreak would likely route it to a fake CC call center or something). GSM is easy-peasy to hack and there's plenty of DIY-lore on the topic.
