Title: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Ginaz on February 14, 2011, 07:08:50 PM Square Enix Complete Pack is on sale this week for $74.99. As well, Batman:AA is on sale for $7.50 and FFXI Ultimate Collection is on sale for $4.99. Batman:AA is a daily sale, with a new game being on sale each day this week. I don't if is a new Square Enix title each day or some random game.

One thing about Steam lately, esspecially with these deals, that is starting to piss me off is releasing these "complete" packs. That aren't fucking complete.

One thing about Steam lately, esspecially with these deals, that is starting to piss me off is releasing these "complete" packs. That aren't fucking complete. Uhh, it's in the pack I'm looking at. Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Vaiti on February 15, 2011, 07:19:21 AM Makes it even worse. So you get it but I don't because I'm in the EU? :why_so_serious:
You made me double check, it's not showing up in the pack I can see here in Finland. It's basically the only game I want as well. If it ends up 5ish or so. And yes I know the game isn't that good. I just never finished it and would like to. And it was purty. Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Tebonas on February 15, 2011, 07:52:33 AM Indeed, its an EU problem. Fuck Region dependent marketing.
Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Sky on February 15, 2011, 09:09:08 AM On the other hand, you don't have to put up with living in the US. Surely that's worth it?
Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Tebonas on February 15, 2011, 10:22:18 AM 99% of the time it is, but not when I'm denied the game I want RIGHT NOW for a few days.

Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: NiX on February 16, 2011, 06:12:30 AM Just Cause 2 is $7.50 today. Thanks for pointing this out. I was just thinking I would pick this up if it was around $5, but I forgot to check yesterday. Luckily it's still up. :awesome_for_real: Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: raydeen on February 16, 2011, 07:28:01 AM I got Just Cause 1. Figure between that, Fallout 3, The Witcher...by the time I finish those I should be able to get a new computer that will run Just Cause 2. :awesome_for_real:
Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: HaemishM on February 16, 2011, 10:05:45 AM Any thoughts on Front Mission: Evolved? Looks like you can get the whole shebag with DLC for about $15 or so. Anybody played the PC version?
Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Ard on February 16, 2011, 10:41:01 AM Everything I've read about it says it's a really poor man's Armored Core, and not srpg like it's predecessors. It's reviews are pretty much through the floor and they've nickle and dimed it with DLC, so I'd say just avoid it. Keep in mind this advice is from someone who pretty much willing to try anything if it's cheap, and who generally likes mech games.
I'd recommend just digging up one of the console versions of armored core (4 or For Answer) instead, but it looks like it's getting harder to find, and the prices are starting to shoot up from the sub-$20 mark it was at for the longest time. Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: K9 on February 16, 2011, 03:11:28 PM That's a really good deal on a per-game basis, even though I do already own a fair few. I'm just not sure I want any of the other games enough.
Now if it had a few more Final Fantasy titles, even any other than 11, I'd probably go for it. I could happily go back and play through FF7 for nostalgia's sake I think, and I missed a couple of the newer ones. Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Rasix on February 16, 2011, 05:29:45 PM I think the only FF titles with PC releases were 7 and the 2 MMORPGs (11,14). It would be nice if they offered 7, I don't think I was able to get that working last time I tried and have probably lost the discs by now.
Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Wasted on February 16, 2011, 06:21:50 PM FF 8 came out on PC too
Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Rasix on February 16, 2011, 06:32:04 PM FF 8 came out on PC too That game never existed. NOPE. They just took that number off and went on a long vacation. Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: K9 on February 17, 2011, 01:41:31 AM I think the only FF titles with PC releases were 7 and the 2 MMORPGs (11,14). It would be nice if they offered 7, I don't think I was able to get that working last time I tried and have probably lost the discs by now. You're absolutely correct, my bad. This is frustrating as it makes it unlikely that I will ever get to play 9 unless I can find an un-knackered disc somewhere. Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Mosesandstick on February 17, 2011, 02:19:08 AM You could always download an ISO file?
Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Vaiti on February 17, 2011, 02:31:41 AM I happened to have unknackered discs of FF9 that I will never use again. I also happen to live in Finland and I have no idea what th cost on shipping would be.
Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: jakonovski on February 17, 2011, 05:00:45 AM Any thoughts on Front Mission: Evolved? Looks like you can get the whole shebag with DLC for about $15 or so. Anybody played the PC version? I bought it, and based on 30 minutes of gameplay it's Shogo but not as good. It even has the corridor like cities of 1999. Mecha eyecandy is pretty good, as are the cgi cutscenes, but the plot is already sheer torture. Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: raydeen on February 18, 2011, 11:39:55 AM The Hitman Collection is the new sale item - $7.47. Good game(s)? They're around $2.50 apiece.
Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: jakonovski on February 18, 2011, 12:08:10 PM Just a short addendum regarding FME: the game's controls are a special brand of fucked up. Basically, you want to use a gamepad for the mech parts, while the on foot parts are only playable with kb&m.
Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Hawkbit on February 18, 2011, 12:50:05 PM Would it fucking kill them to put Last Remnant on sale... ever?

They're trying to warn you. I'd take the warning. Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Azazel on February 18, 2011, 05:04:12 PM Picked up the Hitman Trilogy for $7.50.
The first one isn't all that great these days from what I remember, but hey, it was only $2.50 more than just getting the other two. Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Vaiti on February 18, 2011, 11:09:48 PM I saw them put it on sale one time about two years ago for 10. I didn't bite because I was broke and thought "surely this will be a common occurrence that may even go further down in price" WRONG.
Goes to show some games aren't always on Steam sale. At least the normal price for the game has been slowly dropping. Was 50, then 40, now 30 They even throw the fucker on sale again for 10 or less and I'm buying it at this point. Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Kalle on February 19, 2011, 12:53:15 AM The only Hitman worth getting these days is Blood Money. Hitman 2 has some worthwhile parts but contains way too many crappy levels in the middle of the countryside.
Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Yegolev on February 19, 2011, 09:24:46 AM I'm trying to ignore the Last Remnant hate. :oh_i_see: I am considering getting the PC version since it's got a few benefits over the console version, and I very nearly finished it on 360.
Title: Re: Mid week sale Square Enix Complete Pack, plus daily single game sales Post by: Azazel on February 19, 2011, 01:34:15 PM Kane & Lynch today. For five dollars. Both of them in fact.
I'm not sure I can afford that much for those games, though. For £1.75 it's a steal.
