Amazon are bringing the traditional US Black Friday sales to the UK this year, starting next friday (26th). Highlights apparently include 60% off XBox 360 and Wii consoles.

This makes very little sense, but I'm fine with that. I'll be pissed if there's a reduction on TVs though, having just bought one from amazon  :grin:

Make sure you don't read the part where it says "Sony TVs undergoing a 50% price reduction" then.

Nah, I'm happy with what I have, but I suspect this may be a great opportunity to get a present for the folks.

There is almost NOTHING! better than wading through TV specs and purchsing a new TV.  You need to do something to redeem yourself now.

We get a state television subsidy to ensure every household has at least one. It's great living in a society that runs on socialist ideals.  Healthcare and televisual entertainment for all.

The American conquest of England continues.

So it has started; so far the deals have been fairly niche and uninteresting. I'll continue to watch though, there seem to be some box sets coming up which may be worth consideration

£50 Wii

That came and went fast.

I'm not sure a single deal lasts longer than a second? I wanted a piece of jewellery for the GF and it was gone by the time I clicked, and I had been waiting, but not spamming clicks.

I don't know, I haven't been religiously checking on the hour. I guess there could be bugs in the system.

Tried a few as a test, popular stuff sells out within a second or two.  Did manage to get some software so it's not a complete con, didn't want the software so just removed it from my basket,  just wanted to check it was possible to actually click fast enough.

Not seen any of the 50% of Sony tv's deals though.

Got a radio for the old man, but the piece of jewellry that I wanted was on sale again, no luck and I was spamming this time  :awesome_for_real:

After I clicked I was in a queue for a while, so I'm not sure whether Amazon is just randoming everybody who clicks in the first 2 seconds or what...

All the items I see are either 0% or 100% sold, which suggests to me that the system, or some component thereof isn't working perfectly.

Or it's working perferctly because it keeps you going back to Amazon to look at stuff.

Once I realised what was going on, I stopped bothering. I'm sorry I even mentioned it in the first place.
