I haven't decided if I consider that more a good or bad thing yet, wallet vs. game collection. :oh_i_see: Title: Re: THQ Week Sale - Today: Titan Quest Gold Edition - $4.99 Post by: ezrast on October 26, 2010, 03:28:12 PM Yup, already got the THQ complete thing from that massive summer sale. Should be safe from this one.

I'd buy it at 13.50 but paying 100% markup just because they feel they can get away with it, no thanks. Title: Re: THQ Week Sale - Today: Metro 2033 for $13.50, 66% off. Yeah I'm getting so sick of the regional pricing. I'm pretty much boycotting all publishers that do it now. Title: Re: THQ Week Sale - Today: Metro 2033 for $13.50, 66% off. Post by: NiX on October 28, 2010, 05:33:24 AM It's possible for US/CAN customers to gift Aussies those games and get it for the US price.

Post by: Wasted on October 28, 2010, 02:12:32 PM It's possible for US/CAN customers to gift Aussies those games and get it for the US price. I went to the effort of getting a US discover card and US billing address, and set up a steam account and bought Civ 5 for the US price and not $79.99 that they wanted to charge Aussies, but I felt stupid after. The point is I can get around the region pricing if I want to, but that doesn't change the fact that these companies are doing it and I don't want to reward them in any way whilst they are. I don't just find it inconvenient, I'm increasingly finding it obnoxious and offensive. Fallout New Vegas is a disgusting 89.99 on steam but I'm really missing it. I of course wrote an email to Bethesda as to why I'm not buying the game but they didn't even give a courtesy of a reply. I haven't pirated a game for many years but I'm feeling the urge now. I got my Metro from there for $13 on sale a month or so ago, too. It's back up to AU$26 or so now - which is their normal price, not a sale price. Title: Re: THQ Week Sale - Today: Dawn of War 1/2 50% off. Post by: Special J on October 29, 2010, 07:34:09 PM Quick, what should i plunk down for? DoW 1 Platinum for $15 (plus $10 if I want Soulstorm) or DoW 2 Gols for $20? I'd probably mostly do single player.

For single-player DoW 2 is more like "HeroHammer 40K RPG" where you have a handful of heroes with their retinues and is very story driven. DoW is more like the tabletop game where you have full squads and the later expansions/games have strategic campaigns.Title: Re: THQ Week Sale - Today: Dawn of War 1/2 50% off. Post by: Special J on October 30, 2010, 03:51:59 PM Cool, I've played enough of vanilla DoW 1 to know that's closer to what I'm looking for. Went in for all expansions for nine armies.
