Title: An MMG from the makers of Space Rangers and King's Bounty Post by: Stormwaltz on October 26, 2010, 08:46:42 AM The new winner of "most generically titled MMORPG," Royal Quest.
"The fantasy world of Royal Quest is called Aura. It’s a world full of magic, technology and alchemy. Aura is under imminent danger by dark alchemists who will kill to find the highly rare and precious Elenium mineral with its many unique features. The King has put out the call in search of courageous heroes to banish the invaders once and forever. As a reward he promises titles, castles and riches." http://www.royalquest.com/ Title: Re: An MMG from the makers of Space Rangers and King's Bounty Post by: Shatter on October 26, 2010, 09:46:16 AM love the recommended computer specs...

That's the most hardcore recommended spec I've seen for such a generic title. Title: Re: An MMG from the makers of Space Rangers and King's Bounty Post by: Morfiend on October 26, 2010, 11:24:01 AM I like the art style. The graphics themselves are not super impressive, but the style is something I can get behind.

P.S. to 1C marketing, when posting screenshots don't have half of them showing the player missing :oh_i_see: Title: Re: An MMG from the makers of Space Rangers and King's Bounty Post by: Bzalthek on October 26, 2010, 01:11:50 PM Those "features" are tremendously vague. "Spectacular and dynamic content using various battle skills." Yeah, and rivers are dynamically and breathtakingly rendered to look like wet water.

The developers claim both. (http://www.katauri.com/) Wikipedia, with the customary grain of salt, says, "Following the release of Space Rangers 2, some members of the Elemental Games staff, including director general Dmitry Gusarov, departed to form a new game development company, Katauri Interactive, which released version 2.0 of Space Rangers 2, called Space Rangers 2: Reloaded, in Russia on September 7, 2007." It is, however, perhaps the first game to offer up defeating geometers as a feature. We must decrease without limit their ability to write such horrid math. Bisect their radii, I will. A breath of fresh air, as much as I am cynical and jaded I thrust the guys behind those titles. And while its true that space rangers and kings bounty were technically 2 different companies they are many of the same people behind those 2 excellent titles.

That's the most hardcore recommended spec I've seen for such a generic title. Well I can't run it on a PC I bought last year. Can someone more knowledgeable than me estimate what percentage of the market they're immediately eliminating as customers? Are these high spec games more viable in other markets? If, in Asia, most people play in cyber cafes then maybe state of the art PCs can be taken as given.
