But has anyone here seen a trailer for a movie called GAMMA?

Has a really high creep factor, to me anyway. Any info would be appreciated.

It's a strange phenomenon.

In life, I'm a pretty nice guy. But when I come here, I turn into a raging asshole.

Perhaps this isn't a healthy environment for me.

I keep trying to tell SPT that this is a "Blair Witch" style grass roots "build the hype" kind of thing so that some enterprising young "filmmaker" can get a distribution company.

It MIGHT be real. But I think given the nature of news and the Interweb today, I'd be more inclined to believe that if it WAS real, some motherfucker on this site would have heard about it from someplace other than the really underground sites that its on. A link from their hometown newspaper, Drudge report, Smoking Gun, something.

If you haven't seen the trailer, though, real or not, it's still fucking creepy.

I looked and it's not really scary in any traditional horror way.  It's creepy and disturbing, maybe a bit in the Blair Witch way.  I can't find a thing on it either and not for lack of searching.

Looks like a snuff film in the style of BWP, except with worse lighting.  Officemate's comment: "Turn your gamma UP!"

That was my thoughts as I watched the trailer.  Obviously, the only gamma in this film is the title.

It looks fake to me...What with the "red rum" type writing on the wall and such. Reality doesn't contain plot devices.

I'd like to see one of the death scenes. Perhaps the guy with the gun in his mouth? There's a good chance that'll tell me whether it's real or not.

Under budgeted filmmakers almost never have the resources or crew to portray violence and death in any kind of realistic way. And even when they do have something to work with, they still rely on tricks to turn the audience's attention on to something else (whether that be running and shaking the camera, adjusting the camera's focus, moving the camera away to someone screaming in the next room, etc., etc.. -- Whatever keeps people from noticing the cheap effects).

With the lighting and film quality evident in the trailer, you wouldn't need a big special effects budget to show somebody blowing his brains out in a halfway realistic way.  Ever seen the "Snuff films do not exist *BLAM*" video?  That effect was about fifty cents worth of corn syrup and red food coloring (and a bit of cleverness with the camera).

I know YOUR opinion on it, you didn't have to post either, bratling :P. However, I feel differently and thus I wanted other's reactions on it. I have no idea what it is but it is decidedly creepy.

So in being creeped out, thought I'd share with the rest of the free world because we all know they come here to post.
