Why yes, that was certainly a reasonable demand to make of the Discovery Channel.

Funny thing is he wanted to get rid of disgusting human filth but was against war. Heck if you want to get rid of humans you should be pro war go nukes or go home. The world would recover fine if we wiped ourselves out so he should have been all for more warfare.

Yeah, the whole rant about peace groups being pro-war because they wouldn't also advocate mass sterilisation thus causing more people and more war was :uhrr: You've fucking a highlighted a solution to the problem there! Of course maybe he was concerned about all the trees and tigers that get hurt during wars and would only advocate sterilisation at the humane way of getting rid of people.

Of course on a really sad level without any new technological innovation to help support the population numbers and growth we're looking at he might actually be right in his overall goals, if not in seeking to force the Discovery Channel to act as his medium of mass societal change.

Yeah, in a sense he is a living example of the Lovecraft theme of someone being driven mad by seeing a little bit of the Universe as it really is.

He pretty much said as much -- war has too high of an environmental impact in his opinion for it to be an effective means of population control.

Obviously he was nuts; biological warfare is going to be the future, and that's a VERY environmentally friendly way to wipe out a lot of people very quickly.
