That's pretty much EXACTLY what I would expect from a Yogi Bear cartoon were it made today.  You guys don't watch enough of the cartoons your kids do.  Old school Yogi would be such a predictable flop it wouldn't have been released to theaters.

Yeah, it has... but so have other movies that got the reboot ah la Batman, Superman, etc. And I am not saying I WANT to see this stuff... just saying its fair game sadly.

He-man might be just too camp for a serious reboot.

I always enjoyed Yogi bear as a kid. But I do not have an attachment to it where it changing would cause me to cry.

That being said, I did not find anything remotely appealing about this trailer.

If they were to remake Hong Kong Phooey then I would have to go postal though.

They are thinking of the massive money that "Alvin and the Chipmunks" or "The Flintstones" made.

I loved Yogi Bear as a kid, and this is a goddamn travesty.

Dan Akroyd as Yogi Bear? Couldn't they have gotten, like, someone who sounded like Yogi Bear, or are animated films the retirement home for once popular actors?

Justin Timberlake as Boo Boo though... that's a pretty good impression and I'm surprised he's involved with the project. Timberlake can't seem to go wrong with anything he does, though he's operating in a different realm than, say, DiCaprio or Gordon-Lewitt in Inception.

I can vouch for that poster being Real.   In fact, we just assembled an 8 foot tall cardboard standee of that thing at my theatre yesterday afternoon.   Still cant believe that tag line made it through marketing.

From my experience, a lot of marketing people are pretty fucking clueless. The more amazing fact is not that this made it through marketing, it is that is made it through ALL the hoops a marketing campaign goes through for large companies. I see this kind of shit all the time in small companies (especially the one I work at) because the marketing people have no one outside their little ditz circle looking at things. Big companies usually have people look at things who have some objectivity and perspective.

That poster scares me. The eyes ..... just too much.
