Small collision box, jumps as well as Mario, and can shoot in any direction once he's powered up. The taller characters have trouble with some of the tighter obstacle courses. And Mega Man's jumping sucks.

(edit) okay, I played through as Bill. He's pretty goddamn awesome against Lakitu. But his jumping is annoying as hell, since he's always moving horizontally. |
