No dude, it could have been anything where a guy comes out onto a cliff of exactly that shape (it's very common for drama) from that same angle, and then leans down and wipes away the snow with one hand so he can see what's beneath the ice, and then we get a dramatic overhead shot of him shattering the ice directly beneath his feet, and then this huge thing comes flying up out of the ice. I've seen three Burger King ads and a beer commercial exactly like that today alone. Plus it's not like these guys would ever rip off anything from popular culture. I realize some here are far big into wow lore and setting but sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, all I see here is a happy russian figure skater. To think that russian people are capable of parody is frankly, ridiculous.
