Changing name back from 2K Boston; new website launches in about 12 hours. (http://www.irrationalgames.com/)

Thank God!  Hopefully this means Freedom Force will come back somehow!  :awesome_for_real:

More Xcom "rumors" popping up actually.

I love X-Com but I have a great deal of trouble seeing how it could come back in anything other than an awful bastardized form, most likely a squad based FPS.

Their site is getting hammered. Only loads text for me.

No it looks like that cause they fail at HTML (their paths in their WordPress setup are wrong).

That's just irrational.

Naturally, it'll be a sequel to Xcom:TFTD, and your squad will land at rapture and have to take it back over.

Because I've become convinced no good can ever come of trying to redo a classic.

There's a countdown to the end of the hour now.

Hey, their web admin passes the dumbass test. The counter is based on your system clock, but at least it doesn't have an auto redirect to the new site when it hits 0!

Hey look! It's a... blog.

After Colonization I'm done pining away for remakes of old favorites.

I would like a Simgolf, but they'd probably remake that in the Civ 4 engine somehow.

Unfortunately, I think that ship has sailed due to poor popularity. No idea why, they were awesome games.

I just earned myself 15 points for finding a 404  :awesome_for_real:

The blog is a game itself!

I saw you complaining about this in another thread, but why didn't you like the Colonization remake?  It's just like the original, but better updated graphics and user interface.  Been playing with it, and think its perfect.  What didn't you like about it?

Hm. Got me there, I can't recall. I'm going on remembered dislike when it came out. I'm not sure I agree about the graphics; I don't like the Civ4 engine, though. I am able to look past it for FFH2, I should give Col a whirl if it comes back around on a steam deal.
