Title: First game I should play on my new PC?
Post by: sammypetter on January 08, 2010, 09:57:12 PM
I am getting the parts for my newest PC soon, what is the first game I should play? I was thinking either Dragon Age, Left for Dead 2, Dawn of War 2, or Arkam Asylum.

I would say Dragon Age or Arkam Asylum.

I think you should play the last game you bought that didn't perform well on your old PC. It feels so good to see a game you were angry about just flying at full speed with max graphics settings. In my case, the first thing I did was install Oblivion even though it was old and I'd finished it.  :awesome_for_real:

Dragon Age. It's the most PC of the PC games this year.

MW2 also though. Because it looks awesome at everything-maxxed settings.

I've fallen in to a vat of MMORPG.com and I can't get out!   :ye_gods:

Max Payne 1, followed by Max Payne 2. At the highest settings.

Well, that's how I Christen my new PCs, anyway.

Dwarf Fortress, because it's just that awsome.

I got my new computer a month ago, and I chose Dragon Age. It was a solid choice.

I deleted him for making the same post twice in two different threads. I don't give second chances to newcomers anymore. Haven't since WAR.

I think you should be considering a game that didn't run well on the old machine L4D2 is a bad choice it really doesn't look that good.  I don't understand the DoW2 pick at all its not even a cpu demanding rts.  I guess Dragon Age though tbh I think it looks like ass.

Well, even if he's banned :  Crysis.

Like someone said - when you get a new machine, run a game that CRAWLED on your last PC and fucked you right off.

When I saw Crysis running properly with all the bells and whistles my Oh My God, this game is shite, turn it off quick, turned into a mega playthrough.

Hentai games. They'll test out your new keyboard and mouse's durability factor.

Bust out the non-standard jokes. I know you have some.

- My dog has no nose.

- Then how does he smell?

- Awful.

This penguin is having car trouble, so he takes his vehicle over to his monkey mechanic. The mechanic says it will be a few minutes, so the penguin goes across the street to the 7-Eleven to get some icecream. But since the penguin doesn't have any hands it gets a little messy on his beak.

Afterwards he returns to the mechanic, who says, "It looks like you blew a seal."

To which the penguin replies, "What? No - that's just a little icecream."

Yep.  My 2009 Grievance strikes again.

I stole this one from http://oldjewstellingjokes.com/

Guy goes into a clothing store, tries on a new pair of pants.  Tailor asks how they fit.
Man says, “Well, they kinda remind me of Trinity Church.”
Tailor says, “Trinity Church?  How could pants remind you of Trinity Church?”
Man says, “Well, you know the ballroom in Trinity Church?”
Tailor thinks for a moment.  Then he says, “There’s no ballroom in Trinity Church!”
Man says, “Same as these pants.”
