Title: Halloween Costumes
Post by: ShenMolo on October 15, 2009, 07:03:26 AM
Got any ideas?

Ideally something cool, interesting, and easy to put together.

My daughter insists on being a ghost this year, breaking a five year princess streak.

So far I am stuck with the idea of just cutting holes in a white sheet.  Meh.

You probably shouldn't go as an Account Inactive message.  I don't know.  What are you?  A girl?  A boy?  Old?  Young?  Now I'm all frustrated!

I've been wearing dark/plastic rim glasses lately, and don't feel like taking them off for a party.. So I'll probably be "DMC". Not sure if I can find a "Run".

I need a black jumpsuit and Adiddas anyways..

Found a pretty good pimp outfit I might buy. Although usually I just make something out of shit from Goodwill.

Kinda leaning towards the pimp with my date being a lady cop.

That's cool.. You should find the threads at a thrift shop though. Might save money + might find something funnier.

If you're going as a pimp, hit a vintage clothing store.  It'll look better than a fake costume and some if the clothes might even be rewearable.

I'm finally making a RenFest outfit based on the old WAR Disciple concept art, which will probably double as my Halloween outfit this year.

Wow you people go all out. I'm going as a wigger. Sadly my brother has the material at hand to supply me with for this costume  :uhrr:.

I live 50 yards from the Oakland border, going as a Wigger would be a very bad idea for me  :awesome_for_real:.

I'm leery of any costume that might be hard to drink in.

Growing my beard out for a month and going as a 1-armed Vietnam vet. Ain't nothing scarier in Austin than a Vietnam vet. You know what I mean if you've ever been downtown in the afternoon. Alternatively, I thought as going as a Green Peacer.

I like the stalker's costume of a big black background to hide behind.

Austin homeless can be a funny bunch.

Idea for a couple:

or
she dresses as the naughty school girl and you dress as the professor (tweed jacket, pipe and glasses)

This probably tops the list of the most un-PC one I have ever seen....

Cops, pimps, school girls - everything is so common.  It's not worth it.  You should just stay in, lock the doors, turn the lights in the front of the house off and eat giant bowls of candy in front of the telly.

I was thinking more along the lines of kicking back with my fiancee, cozying up with a good book in front of the fireplace.

The guy I split the house with gives out freshly cooked bacon strips at Halloween. Not many kids stop by, but they seem happy.

That has been my Halloween for the last 20 years.

I'm going with hawt (http://us.blizzard.com/store/details.xml?id=1100000704) or possibly hawter (http://us.blizzard.com/store/details.xml?id=1100000702)

Edit:  I may actually dress up like Mr. Tron over here in my avatar picture.  It would be sweet to be able to display my moose knuckle.  If you want a laugh, google moose knuckle and look at the images tab.  It is fucking hysterical.

You wouldn't have to change the outfit much.

I thought it'd be kinda funny to just do my makeup so it looks like my old man worked me over real good. Extra funny since I'm 8 months pregnant.

You'd complete that outfit by wearing spandex saddle pants that are 2 sizes too small, a spaghetti strap tank with a clashing-color bra and carrying a cig and bottle of Jack Daniels, VD.  That'd be fantastic.

How about a mini skirt and half a kid hanging out? Or have I been watching too much Monty Python (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47P59ha9k9s&NR=1)?

I'll be at the Georgia/Florida game, so I'm wearing a red suit with a red pimp hat.

Wear some clothes that are clearly costume but that don't appear to be a costume - like punk jeans, a fur lined pimp coat and a glengarry hat. Then whenever anyone asks who you're supposed to be pick a very obscure figure and act indignant and incredulous that they don't recognise you. "I'm the drummer from Then Jericho! I can't believe you didn't get that!"

Odd, that's exactly how I pictured you. With longer brown hair, of course.
