Title: So it's 4 days late, it's still interesting.

Ultima V: Lazarus (http://www.u5lazarus.com/) has a date. It's still pretty far away so they have plenty of time to get their crap together. I am looking forward to it.

Team Lazarus wishes a very merry Christmas to all our friends, family, and fans!

May it be a bright and joyful day for all of you! :)

At this time, I would like to *officially* announce our release date. Egads, yes, we finally have one! May 18th, 2005, will be the date of the final draft Lazarus launch. Polish your sword, Avatar, for the time is at least approaching!! :)

In case you've been living in a cave, here's what it is (http://www.planetdungeonsiege.com/ultima5/about_lazarus.asp).

Ultima V: Lazarus is an exceedingly ambitious project that will greatly improve the graphics and sound in the PC version of Ultima V. However, that's not all. Rather than releasing an "upgrade patch" as happened with U4, what we're doing is a true from-the-ground-up remake of the gaming classic, Ultima V.

It will be built in the Dungeon Siege 3D RPG engine, which you can learn more about at DUNGEONSIEGE.COM and it will have brand new graphics, CD-quality orchestral music (including re-mastered versions of the original U5 music plus some new pieces), improved and expanded dialogue, and a much more "alive" design for the Underworld, amongst other improvements.

....will be built in the Dungeon Siege 3D RPG engine.....

So does this mean that a curious ferret will be able to play the game for you, simply by attacking your mouse repeatedly?

Edit: for spelling and such

Looks cool anyway...at least cool enough to reinstall my copy of DS, or even to drop $20 on a bargain bin copy of it.

If their version is even half as enjoyable as the original U5, it will still be twice as good as any RPG I've played in the last 5 years.

Bring the noise.
Cheers..............
