Title: Rammstein Post by: Righ on September 16, 2009, 08:58:06 PM New single Pussy TOTALLY NOT SAFE FOR WORK. OR MANY HOMES. AND SOME COUNTRIES. * (http://visit-x.net/rammstein/)
* may contain traces of hardcore pornography Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: tazelbain on September 16, 2009, 10:14:24 PM It's seem he would like to get laid, but I am not sure how Ditka is going to help him.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: stray on September 16, 2009, 10:55:51 PM Taz, you're funny
I'm not sure if I liked the song, or just stuck around for the pr0n Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Engels on September 16, 2009, 11:54:09 PM I'm not sure I even get it. Seems a pretty different thing from what they normally do.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Grimwell on September 16, 2009, 11:56:29 PM I was really taken in by the artistry demonstrated in the combined media formats. While on the surface, the entire production appears to be a rather advanced but juvenile ploy to shoot some pornography and disguise it as mainstream art; the true meaning found in the piece shows Rammstein's social consciousness via musical commentary about the instant gratification cultural addiction to ones own self that we all share.
Yeah right. :awesome_for_real: Rammstein: Pussy, or what happens when screwing groupies starts to get dull... Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Azazel on September 17, 2009, 02:06:18 AM Well, that was interesting.
:why_so_serious: Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Tarami on September 17, 2009, 05:37:32 AM Good God.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: satael on September 17, 2009, 06:35:57 AM That song is the worst Rammstein song I remember ever hearing :uhrr:
As for the video  pretty much sums it up Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Signe on September 17, 2009, 07:21:51 AM (http://smiley.onegreatguy.net/shocker.gif)
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: RhyssaFireheart on September 17, 2009, 08:50:38 AM The song itself wasn't bad. The video was different though. I didn't expect the full-on porn ending. Figured they'd keep with the tease show instead.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: jakonovski on September 17, 2009, 02:29:29 PM Nice video, but I really hate Till's English. Sounds so weird.
Luckily there's another song floating around in the intarwebs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFTYyv6z4CU&feature=related Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Lantyssa on September 17, 2009, 04:52:47 PM ...
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Cadaverine on September 17, 2009, 06:36:49 PM I could have gone my entire life without seeing Rammstein's bits. The song was pretty weak compared to their older material, though.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Lantyssa on September 17, 2009, 07:50:29 PM What, you didn't think [redacted] was the hight of artistry?
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Yegolev on September 17, 2009, 08:35:31 PM Terrible.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Fraeg on September 17, 2009, 09:31:09 PM I am guessng it is supposed to be a slam on how inane some rock anthems are but it doesn't really work.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Righ on September 17, 2009, 10:04:26 PM I could have gone my entire life without seeing Rammstein's bits. You may well do. What you watched involved digital compositing. Most of the guys in Rammstein are married and have kids. Flake isn't transgender (as far as I know) and certainly doesn't have those boobies. The video was by the same guy that did Prodigy's "Smack My bitch Up". Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Ookii on September 17, 2009, 10:08:06 PM I love how you refer to them by their names. Another thing nobody should ever know.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Righ on September 17, 2009, 10:30:17 PM Knowledge is power.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Ozzu on September 17, 2009, 11:20:22 PM That's just a terrible song. Terrible. :ye_gods:
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Signe on September 18, 2009, 07:03:22 AM I love how you refer to them by their names. Another thing nobody should ever know. This is one of the reasons we've been married so long, I think. He remembers the name of everything and everyone, and I call everyone and everything thingy. It must balance us or something. You would do well to remember this sort of junk in your search for a wife. Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Fraeg on September 18, 2009, 09:40:43 AM watched it again last night, called up a friend who lived in Germany for a number of years (I dunno maybe he knows the secret German handshake) and told him to watch it. That resulted in a very angry call from his very Catholic wife :why_so_serious:.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Yegolev on September 18, 2009, 09:52:28 AM Was she angry at how shitty it was?
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: jakonovski on September 18, 2009, 11:40:07 AM Come one, it wasn't that bad.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Yegolev on September 18, 2009, 12:54:13 PM I suppose, once again, my expectations were too high.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Musashi on September 18, 2009, 01:24:54 PM Mine weren't. I was expecting boobs. I only kinda got what I wanted. The things one will put up with to get to the shiny.
On a non-boob related level, the music just isn't that interesting. Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Teleku on September 18, 2009, 02:34:46 PM Yeah, I didn't think the song was as horrible as everybody is making it out to be. It wasn't great, just sounded rather generic. Actually, it pretty much sounded like every other Rammstein song, just not as catchy as some.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: gryeyes on September 18, 2009, 02:52:22 PM The video was by the same guy that did Prodigy's "Smack My bitch Up". Great video Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Fraeg on September 18, 2009, 04:39:13 PM Was she angry at how shitty it was? The conversation started with her saying "why are you watching porn, why are you sending porn links to <her husband>!" That pretty much set the tone for the whole conversation. I guess the half Italian half Portuguese Catholics aren't that into German pussy. :oh_i_see: Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Der Helm on September 21, 2009, 02:39:07 PM While I get the message (and the social commentary) I agree that there have been better songs.
This one for example ... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QF9SQm4r6bk) Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: HaemishM on September 21, 2009, 03:12:53 PM No, that really wasn't that good. The pr0n was too quick to be good pr0n, and even the German bits of the lyrics sounded like he was just throwing out random German-sounding words instead of trying to make actual lyrics. Which, if the point is that most rock anthems are stupid, well, there are much more interesting ways to do that. But hey, boobies.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Cheddar on September 21, 2009, 03:23:18 PM Horrible song.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: IainC on September 21, 2009, 03:38:32 PM No, that really wasn't that good. I noticed that too. It sounded like they were parodying Krautrock by just throwing out German stereotypes 'Bratwurst und Sauerkraut', 'Autobahn' etc. My German still isn't very good and I haven't listened to the song enough to get a grip on the lyrics but it doesn't sound as though they are actually saying anything. Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Der Helm on September 21, 2009, 04:11:02 PM No, that really wasn't that good. Which, if the point is that most rock anthems are stupid, well, there are much more interesting ways to do that. But hey, boobies. Well, I understood it more as a statement against (maybe for ? :awesome_for_real: ) German sex tourism. Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Ingmar on September 21, 2009, 04:13:22 PM No, that really wasn't that good. Which, if the point is that most rock anthems are stupid, well, there are much more interesting ways to do that. But hey, boobies. He seemed to be doing that deliberately - I think it must be for an American audience. The words picked were mostly ones that Americans would actually recognize ("Hey, he said Fahrvergnügen and sauerkraut! I TOTALLY CAN SPEAK GERMAN TOO!") Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Lantyssa on September 21, 2009, 05:03:42 PM The German lyrics were as deep as the English ones. Maybe less, so.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Polysorbate80 on September 21, 2009, 05:08:26 PM German sex tourism. I find your ideas intriguing and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter. Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Signe on September 21, 2009, 05:12:49 PM It's not all that bad. It's Rammstein. Even their bad songs are better than most other dance metal band's good songs. Anyway, I can't look at that video. I don't mind sexy but I hate porn. It would be better if people just talked about it instead of trying to make us watch them. I have a terrible memory for words so it's easier to forget.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Righ on September 21, 2009, 09:35:59 PM It sounded like they were parodying Krautrock Wut? They're NDW, most Krautrock didn't have vocals or sang in English. Here's some: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oyKKahQoDY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oyKKahQoDY) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5316ZsVYSs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5316ZsVYSs) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4P494WTSDE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4P494WTSDE) These guys are parodying Krautrock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5XVeENmLMk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5XVeENmLMk) Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: IainC on September 22, 2009, 01:17:33 AM Fair enough and I think this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP1tkspU5yw) is a better Krautrock spoof.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: ghost on October 09, 2009, 01:14:51 PM I enjoy some good porn as much as the next guy, but that was just fucking stupid.
Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: lac on October 09, 2009, 03:16:37 PM God, I love these guys.
They are a classic example of a counter culture band that takes cover behind provocations and loud music to express their instinctive distaste of the pressure put on people to perform in society. Or as we say, they are a bunch of punks. You can't expect them to put the subtilities of an Ungaretti or Szymborska in their lyrics but if you care to listen to what they're saying you notice their somewhat crude metaphors tend to be very poetic and are almost fragile in the way describe life. Anyway, if you care to look beyond the pron, the song is about the constraints society has put on men without regard of their biological need to disperse their dna. Although I'd image there are some other ways to summarise that. Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: Der Helm on October 10, 2009, 06:01:25 AM

Title: Re: Rammstein Post by: schild on October 10, 2009, 11:26:02 AM Suckage is a symptom of being Rammstein and has nothing to do with this or any of their songs.

I recommend the two disc version, it's totally worth it. For true connoisseurs, there's the collector's edition with six dildos.
