Secure, group based file sharing is at least as old as unsecure, any one who wants to can file sharing.
It has problems, namely the one expressed in the first post. If you aren't in the good group you don't get good files and you can't get into the good group BECAUSE IT'S SECURE. I don't think anyone can argue that there is a better way to distribute content than BT, it would be nice if it could be used by big industries to distribute content in a controlled way... for marketing purposes or whatever... hey, at least they're trying.
