Title: Anyone work with solidworks? (solidwerks?)
Post by: Nerf on August 24, 2009, 12:17:31 PM
I need some real simple cylindrical housings designed to get some CNC work done, I'm trying to take a laser pointer body that uses a AAA battery and get one made that houses a AA instead.  3 pieces, body, pressfit nosecone, and threaded endcap.

So who wants to be my best friend?

Sounds like a AA maglite (http://www.maglite.com/product.asp?psc=2AACELL)

My brother is a CNC machinist with a lot of Mastercam and Solidworks experience. He currently telecommutes designing military aircraft parts. I dunno how up he'd be for doing something for some random dude off the internet because I asked him to (he's still finishing an engineering degree), but I'll ask him.

Yeah pretty much, but I'd rather get something made than just mod something already around, thats what I do now, and I'd prefer to be able to work on my own brand.
