Let us know if the JV needs more, because I'm always good for a second league.

We could use some more.  Join if you want. We need at least 3 more, as I don't want to run a league with less than 8.

If it gets close to draft and it hasn't filled up I'll take a JV spot just post a reminder a day or two before the draft.

Maybe if the JV league had it's own thread more people would join. People probably think the discussion is about the main (full) league.

If we're not full close to draft time, I'm sure a separate thread would fill it up super quick.

Post if you need more warm bodies. I usually play both leagues, but am trying to give someone else a chance in JV. I will be happy to help fill it up if needed.

Haha, gonna miss the draft for two leagues this year because I'm out of town this weekend.

We're full now. If anyone didn't make it into either league, send me a PM and we can get someone that's in both to drop.  Except me. You're stuck with your commish.

Well I had tested the Live Draft app before today and it worked, but now for some reason the bar gets 90% loaded and never finishes.

LOL

Hope to see everyone there

I'm logged in now (came up fine for me) and I don't see anyone at all online except myself and we are 5 minutes out from go time.

I made it in with one min to spare, but yeah very little turnout for live draft.

Post by: Zetleft on August 30, 2009, 04:27:10 PM
I was watching the countdown and when it went to zero I figured the draft would load up.   When I finally went to refresh it I had missed the first round  :uhrr:

Ah well turned out ok.

I had company. Autodraft did rather well for me.

Fuck autodraft.  And fuck that airplanes don't have wifi built in yet.

Goddamnit, I completely forgot this draft as well. I think I need it tattooed to my forehead.

How is it that I got Philip Rivers in BOTH AUTODRAFTS? At least this gave me a second QB.

Title: Re: Fantasy Football 2009 JV league
Post by: Rasix on August 31, 2009, 10:57:04 AM
I got Reggie Wayne, Roy Williams, and Chad Pennington (backup) in both drafts. Autodraft picked me a kicker in round 8.  :awesome_for_real:

I'm pretty darn  with my team considering that I missed the draft.

Title: Re: Fantasy Football 2009 JV league

I created a new yahoo account to play this, since I didn't have a yahoo account period.  In the time I created it to the time the draft came around, I forgot it.

Crap.

My team turned out okay too, even though I missed the draft.  Although, it did draft me two kickers.

Really Yahoo!?  Two kickers?   :why_so_serious:

Does the draft home page show peoples email addresses?  If so, could someone post the one listed for Random Newb Squad?  I'm fairly sure I know the password, I just don't know my yahoo screen name.  :uhrr:

Thanks man.

Unless I'm looking at my team wrong, I think I did ok.  Never played FF before so...Bit of a learning curve here...

Carson Palmer at QB, Bolden at WR, Steve Smith at WR (didn't he go down with an injury??), Braylon Edwards at WR, and Westbrook at RB.  And Antonio Gates at TE.
BN is listed as Flaco at QB, LeRon McClain at RB, Crabtree at WR, Larry Johnson at RB, Billy Miller at TE
K is Mason Crosby
Defense is the Eagles with BN as Tampa Bay

What's BN?  Bench?

BN is bench.  Your starting team looks good, now you just have to make them start.

HULK SMASH!

With Brady's numbers, this could become a really comical blowout.

That's right Rasix just salt my wounds.  My Adrian Peterson hate (jealousy) is rising.  I took a drubbing in another league because of "All Day" already.

I think you've had the best single week for any team so far. Nice. A bye week for half of my roster nearly crippled me today.  :ye_gods: Skirted by on a two point win. <yesss!>

He'll need 16 points out of his kicker to claim that.

My team has solid scoring potential.  Ice that groin, Reggie.

A big game from Sims-Walker pretty much lifted my ass out of the fire. I was sweating this week's match-up.

Oy, I got fucking owned. Desean Jackson getting shut out didn't help me one bit, but Warner and Chris Johnson having such huge days killed me.

Yah, that was odd, I don't even know who that guy is.

Sub par games from Miles Austin and Reggie Wayne, along with having to start Roy Williams didn't help.  No AP in the big game, not fair.  Still, I think I can blame the majority of this loss on Roy Williams and his fucking mouth.    I can do that for the loss in the other league also.

Hell, yeah. Sims-Walker strikes again. This guy has been my best free agent pick-up so far and smooths over the bruise of a disappointing season from Houshmandzadeh (still unable to write that name without looking it up).

So provided Lawrence Tynes doesn't come down with a case of the yips tonight, it looks like I will beat the top seed in this league and go on to the finals. Thank you, Phillip Motherfucking Rivers and the shittiness of the Pittsburgh defense!

Well, my inability to find a consistent defense has somewhat hosed me.  Well, that and Aaron Rodgers going bonkers while Tom Brady has another ho-hum game.  Thank you Steelers D.  :awesome_for_real:

Cocksucking Stephen Jackson. My most dependable RB all goddamn year and when I need him, he sprains a labia and sits the whole fucking game out. Had I not been sick, I might have seen that he wasn't going to start and put Knowshon Moreno in, which still wouldn't have given me the victory. I blame the fucking Giants. 9 points against the fucking Panthers? Ass crackers.
