I can't tell if this is going to be cheesy enough to be entertaining (http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/legion/).  Parts of it give off an Evil Dead vibe (particularly the part with the old woman), and some of it feels like the Prophecy.  With a different cast I could have seen this being awesome.

Way way too much Maximum Overdrive/Resident Evil/30 Days of Night to me. Making the angels turn people into skittering vampire type monsters reminds me too much of zombie movies, while the angels with the wings reminds me of superhero movies. May be too much mixing of styles in this one.

True. Some genuinely creepy/cool bits, and then way too much actiony schlock.

Anything with angels is awesome (ie Gabriel (2008) and The Prophecy).

And I have a man crush on Paul Bettany.

I will see this.

So I watched this trailer a long time ago and remember it being something I want to see.

Last week I was flipping around in Netflix while respawning in League of Legends, and noticed a movie called The Last Legion and added it to my queue thinking it was this.

It was not.

I didn't make it half an hour into the Last Legion.

I just saw the trailer for this and...seriously? This movie looks like ass become a director and then made a movie.

Don't get me wrong, I like a good brainless action movie on occasion but this just smacks of dumb.  We're to assume an entire army is being held off by four people in a truck stop and also, the angels use melee weapons when guns seem readily available?  I'm sure there's a lot more glaring plot holes than this but I don't want to think too hard about this movie.

You know what this really reminds me of? Tremors.

How could you not like Tremors! 

Tremors was awesome in only the way a schlocky sci-fi movie can. I am getting the same story vibe as tremors except without any of the humor.  Could you imagine if they tried to make tremors a dark and serious movie?

Man, this movie looks like a must see for how bad it looks. It seems to take itself seriously enough that it is worth laughing at. I am so sick of mocking Uwe Boll movies.

Have I ever mentioned here that in terms of Hollywood mancrushes, Paul Bettany is among the ranks of Vin Diesel and Clive Owen with me? So, yea, can't wait.

You and I have similar taste in men. Except I would replace Clive with Matthew McConaughey.

Yeah, the thing with Tremors is, it knew exactly what it was doing.

And that's what makes me straight.
