Title: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Slayerik on August 02, 2009, 12:03:57 PM Ok... so, I'm turning thirty at the end of the month and I am having a party for it. Here is what I'm hoping for.
(http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8iSiVlJx_dw/SdvEt4e08nI/AAAAAAAAAqs/tiDIwzorheE/s400/bull%2Bby%2Bthe%2Bhorns.jpg) With my face photochopped on to it. It really goes well with my enormous ego and I'll probably take it to Kinkos and have it blown up. I havent been able to find a higher rez version of it, though. If anyone has some skills, and wouldn't mind helping me out, I'd be very grateful! Lemme know and I'll get some pics to work with. "This is me. Taking the bull by its horns. Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: RhyssaFireheart on August 03, 2009, 10:00:14 PM I could give it a shot it you want. Doesn't look like it would be that difficult to do, unless the lighting on the pics of you are way off.
Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: CmdrSlack on August 03, 2009, 10:41:03 PM I turned 30 and it was very meh.
I'm now 33 and it's still pretty much the same. I quit feeling old ages ago when I made a Def Leppard reference and this kid at work said, "Who is Def Leppard?" It's tough to feel old when a typical day off involves swings, slides and sand castles. But I guess that's part of being a parent too. Happy birthday, Slay! Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Signe on August 03, 2009, 11:08:11 PM You are the same age Jesus was when he died, CmdrSlack. I don't mean anything by that. Just sayin'. (http://www.democraticwarrior.com/forum/images/smilies/jesus.gif) I got that goin' for me. Which is nice. Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Triforcer on August 03, 2009, 11:33:21 PM I believe Jesus started his public ministry at 30 and died when he was 33. So, all you have to do is start a worldwide religion to keep up.
Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Salamok on August 04, 2009, 07:25:59 AM I'd be willing to give this a shot as well, I've done a fair bit of this sort of joke. If you have a pic where the shadows and tilt of the head (tilt of the head is more important) are in the ball park then this wouldn't be too hard. Higher res the better.
Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Sky on August 04, 2009, 07:48:31 AM I believe Jesus started his public ministry at 30 and died when he was 33. And thanks everyone for the birthday wishes....It's August 30th and I turn thirty...how sweet am I ?!?!? :) Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Salamok on August 04, 2009, 08:42:47 AM just realized that pic is a Boris, nice ;)

And thanks everyone for the birthday wishes....It's August 30th and I turn thirty...how sweet am I ?!?!? :) Happy Birthday you sadistic weirdo. You're posting the end result, yeah? Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Salamok on August 04, 2009, 09:06:40 AM the original (http://vallejo.ural.net/1987/show.php?015) seems to have a fair bit more color. Anyone know what book the scan schild posted is from.
Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Slayerik on August 04, 2009, 10:12:52 AM Had a hard time finding good angle shots like that, or shots where I'm not smiling. I'm at work so here are some if you guys wanna give it a go. And yeah Nix, this is an f13 production! Of course I'll share. I'm not afraid to embarrass myself for this cause :) Hell, I'll probably want opinions on whats best. I might try to do my own, as I just downloaded CS3 to my computer. Too bad I suck at it. Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Salamok on August 04, 2009, 11:00:12 AM 1st one works for me, need higher res.
Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: K9 on August 04, 2009, 11:08:00 AM This is going to be :drill:
Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Salamok on August 04, 2009, 12:46:14 PM Gave it a shot with the 1st one but it ends up way too blurry, need to do the same thing at like 6x res and then shrink the result. Huge skin tone shift and the shadows need to be flipped and exagerated, tilt of the head is near perfect though.
Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Slayerik on August 04, 2009, 12:51:06 PM Hah, you rock man. I'll see if the ex has the original somewhere.....Doesn't have to be perfect, but it's awesome that you are going to try to pimp it out :)
Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Salamok on August 04, 2009, 01:19:04 PM Yeah definately need higher res!

2.) Jesus Christ I suck at Photoshop. Really need to learn how to use it to its full abilities. Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: RhyssaFireheart on August 04, 2009, 03:57:52 PM Goddamn, those skin tones are fucked up. The shadows still aren't quite right on the left side of the face, but going even darker makes it look even worse.

Damn, that's awesome. Only thing that sticks out is that the eyes seem overly dark, but still; I couldn't do anything remotely close to as good, so kudos! Rhyssa's attempt is also really amazing; this was a fantastic idea and I love what you guys have done with it. Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Salamok on August 04, 2009, 04:19:08 PM This one is a bit more recognizable as you (also a bit more comical):
(http://devotia.com/img/happybday1.jpg) 1st try was trying to mimic the shadows on the original face (can't see his eyes at all). Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Slayerik on August 04, 2009, 04:20:55 PM omg they are all fuckin' great. You guys still need those high rez shots?
I'm totally impressed right now. Thanks again. Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Salamok on August 04, 2009, 04:33:19 PM No need for high res i just blew up the pic you provided did my work then shrank it back down.
edit- Okay last attempt here, I can't do much better than this: (http://devotia.com/img/happybday2.jpg) Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: voodoolily on August 04, 2009, 05:13:23 PM I think Rhyssa's is damn nigh perfect. Whitening the eyes a tiny bit should be easy.

Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: schild on August 21, 2009, 02:03:40 PM Slayerik, you should make a big banner for your birthday party that says
YOUR NAME The "EXCUSE ME WHILE I STROKE MY EGO" Party Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Slayerik on August 21, 2009, 02:15:34 PM It's true my ego is enormous. I have never been so confident and cocky. Love me or hate me, it is how I am. The nice part about that is women respond very well to a cocky/funny approach.
I can't wait for tomorrow, I get better lookin' every day. Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: sinij on August 25, 2009, 07:24:00 PM Someone edit his face on the bull.

Eventually you'll just look like, you know: :hello_thar: . Luckily, for now, you could probably still pass for 20. Go to your room and stay there until you look your age! Dammit. Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: stray on August 26, 2009, 10:13:14 AM hehe, thanks
it's just.. actually 30 yr olds aren't bad. just the ones i know. seems like everyone just waters their grass, and if there is a party, someone is talking about plumbing. :uhrr: oh, and kids are sweet. just don't expect me to be excited about diaper parties either. Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Lantyssa on August 26, 2009, 10:25:55 AM All my friends are hitting 30, so I can't use that trick anymore. Oh well, at least when I hit 40 I can hang out with the 30 year olds.
Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: voodoolily on August 26, 2009, 10:27:06 AM When I was 20 there was always a creepy 30-year old dude hanging around my friends, and he always just seemed kind of desperate. There's nothing wrong with growing up, in fact, it's what you're supposed to do. It'll sink in when the kids you're hanging out with now outgrow the partying, and start acting like the grownups that bore you.
Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Slayerik on August 26, 2009, 10:35:44 AM Nothing will be funnier than the day after, when he realizes he's just the same schmuck he's always been and being 30 isn't a big deal anymore. Turning 30 is just an excuse for me to throw a big party. I have two kids, an ex-wife, and a foreclosing house. I can't even get myself to want to game anymore. I've felt thirty for a while now, and while I will be the same schmuck as before that's fine with me, cause I'm pretty much the baddest schmuck you've never met. Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Rasix on August 26, 2009, 10:40:33 AM Nothing will be funnier than the day after, when he realizes he's just the same schmuck he's always been and being 30 isn't a big deal anymore. Turning 30 for me was just an excuse to eat at Citronelle and get a PS3. :drill: Have fun, Slay. Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: voodoolily on August 26, 2009, 10:45:39 AM I had a big party too, rented a karaoke machine and had a million people over at the house. It was fun. Turning 30 is still a little anticlimactic, though. :\

We do things differently in Texas, honey (http://msp223.photobucket.com/albums/dd219/carlsoncave/wooderson.jpg) Seriously though.. growing up. Hmm.. Hmm.. Not my style, I guess. Even my parents partied and were very social into their 50's (monogamously, mind you! They weren't swingers or anything). That would be my ideal "growing up" phase. Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Slayerik on August 26, 2009, 10:10:23 PM Allllllright alright alright!
Big score, cousin hooked it up and is getting it framed as my bday present. Got to see it today, turned out awesome. Ended up using Rhyssa's one, but thanks again for everyone's effort. Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Bunk on August 27, 2009, 08:22:19 AM Grats on the positive attitude towards 30 Slayerik.
All this talk of people hanging out with different age groups and such - Am I that unusual in that I still hang out with the same group I hung out with in highschool - now 20 years later? We should just turn this in to a whipersnapper thread. My manager - who's my age - casually mentioned necking with his wife last week. Half the department (those under thirty) had no idea what he was talking about. Title: Re: 30th Birthday, Photoshop Request Post by: Lantyssa on August 27, 2009, 09:55:22 AM My high school friends are dead, drugged out, or moved away. Most of my initial college friends are 'here' but over an hour's drive, the rest moved away. I'm the only one which has remained in the heart of the city. I still hang out with my second set of college friends, but they were going through the first time when I was on my second so they're all younger than me.
