Title: Fantastic Mr. Fox
Post by: K9 on July 30, 2009, 05:54:53 PM
Trailer (http://www.firstshowing.net/2009/07/30/must-watch-wes-andersons-fantastic-mr-fox-trailer/)

I loved this story as a child; I truly adored it. The trailer looks to do it justice and the cast for the voice acting is really rather impressive.

While this is undoubtedly a children's film, I think it is one I'll be anticipating too.

No-one's said anything about this film.

Just seen it - it's a Wes Anderson film that like "Where The Wild Things Are" really isn't a kid's film. Kids can watch it, but there are some bits that aren't for younger kids and a lot of it will go over their heads anyway.

Will you enjoy this film? Quick quiz: did you like "The Royal Tenenbaums"? If yes, then probably - the stop motion suits Anderson's quirkiness and the characters wander that line of almost-unlikeable-and-flawed genius. If no, then you will find this film a lot of talky wank.

Best bit: the fight between Fox and Rat.

Are you cussing with me? (http://www.traileraddict.com/clip/the-fantastic-mr-fox/cussing-with-me)

I loved this movie, it's classic Wes Anderson. I was worried about the animation when I first saw the trailers, but it turned out really, really well. And ya, if you like Anderson's movies then you will like this movie.

I was glad it turned out better than Bill Murray's past incursions into voice acting.
