Title: I wonder if this guy plays MMOs Post by: Arnold on July 23, 2009, 12:40:28 AM Wed Jul 22, 4:05 pm ET
AKRON, Ohio – When an Ohio man vacated his foreclosed home near Akron, he left behind nearly 100 cats and a stench. (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090722/ap_on_fe_st/us_odd_foreclosure_cat_infestation) Gives new meaning to the term "catass". Title: Re: I wonder if this guy plays MMOs Post by: Hawkbit on July 23, 2009, 05:07:22 PM My best friend's wife works in management at one of two large shelters here in Columbus, Ohio. They generally deal with an animal hording case once a month. In the worst case she's seen there were roughly 145 animals pulled from the house. Two full inches of waste in spots, feces and hair piled on top of each other that sat for years. At one point in the cleanup, they realized that a lump in the dining room was a long-dead kitten that was buried under the waste.
Nearly all of the cases of hording they deal with have the animal owners being mentally ill of varying degrees. Most hording cases see about 1/3 of the animals able to be adopted out. The other 2/3 are euthanized, first for health reasons and later for behavioral. Those that survive are almost always skittish. Sad stuff. Streach that over years and add serious mental disturbance and you get sutuations like that. People dont walke up one morning and spread cat poop over the floor, uit develops over time, withtrhe person thinking they are not important enough to look after themselves, and whats outside is not as distressing as whats going on in ones own head.

We should euthanize them rather than the animals. Title: Re: I wonder if this guy plays MMOs Post by: Oban on July 27, 2009, 03:03:08 PM Is that a new record for Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies?
