Netease is now the operator, however the game in China is currently stuck in limbo because of legal issues. The9 is a publically traded company listed on NASDAQ. If they were to engage in that sort of obvious IP theft their stock would be hammered even more than it already is from investors fleeing because of the inevitable lawsuit from Activision Blizzard.
