Title: Hangover Post by: LK on June 19, 2009, 03:26:12 PM No shit? No thread here?
Exceeded expectations by going #1 vs. Up. Stayed in #1 for another weekend. The movie is freaking hilarious and is a classic Vegas Crazy tale. Lots of dirty jokes. Title: Re: Hangover Post by: Abagadro on June 19, 2009, 04:50:07 PM Very funny, particularly Galifinakis who has been waiting for a breakout role like this.
Title: Re: Hangover Post by: Velorath on June 19, 2009, 05:15:27 PM No shit? No thread here? Not much to talk about aside from saying it's really funny. I imagine most people know from the trailers whether they'll like it or not. Title: Re: Hangover Post by: ShenMolo on June 20, 2009, 07:03:31 AM It's really funny. ;D
Title: Re: Hangover Post by: Teleku on June 20, 2009, 10:21:35 AM Hmm, need to see this. Several of my friends have messaged me saying the movie is hilarious.
Title: Re: Hangover Post by: Oban on June 20, 2009, 12:02:08 PM I laughed out loud at least six times during the movie.
The final photo montage during the credits was a great way to end the film too. Title: Re: Hangover Post by: LK on June 22, 2009, 11:20:10 AM Yeah that montage was like an in-character Behind The Scenes extras on the DVDs. Need more of those.
Title: Re: Hangover Post by: Brogarn on June 22, 2009, 11:41:15 AM Fucking hysterical.
Title: Re: Hangover Post by: Slayerik on June 23, 2009, 02:44:14 PM Laughed my ass off...
Title: Re: Hangover Post by: Ironwood on June 25, 2009, 12:03:44 PM Saw this today with the wife.
We were pretty much the only two people in a cavernous theatre. Perhaps I missed the atmosphere; it was funny, but not hugely so. The Mike Tyson stuff was lame. The male lead was hawt as hell tho. Title: Re: Hangover Post by: WayAbvPar on June 30, 2009, 10:26:30 AM Saw this over the weekend. Truly enjoyed it. Heather Graham must have a fantastic team of surgeons. She has to be nearly 40 and still looks like a teenager.
Title: Re: Hangover Post by: Polysorbate80 on June 30, 2009, 12:28:03 PM The male lead was hawt as hell tho. ...is your wife posting on your account now, or is there something you're not sharing? :drillf: Title: Re: Hangover Post by: Hoax on June 30, 2009, 10:19:36 PM This was good, very detailed and well done too which I didn't expect at all. Made me really want to go to Vegas. I hate it when that happens and its any time that isn't mid August to mid October.
Some hella funny shit, fruity azn, Tyson shit was golden, wolfpack speech. Title: Re: Hangover Post by: K9 on July 02, 2009, 08:17:04 AM Good story and plenty of jokes. Definitely worth a view.
Title: Re: Hangover Post by: Furiously on January 12, 2010, 06:36:04 PM Saw this now that it is out on video. Definitely worth the rental price.
Title: Re: Hangover Post by: dusematic on January 12, 2010, 09:23:05 PM Not that funny. Galifniakis was the one saving grace, everyone else was botched. This movie is way over-hyped.
Title: Re: Hangover Post by: KallDrexx on January 13, 2010, 05:23:33 AM Eh to each their own. This is the first movie in a long time I paid to see twice in the theater (and saw it 2 more times on DVD).
Title: Re: Hangover Post by: Segoris on January 13, 2010, 07:44:28 AM Not that funny. Galifniakis was the one saving grace, everyone else was botched. This movie is way over-hyped. ^This. I saw this 3 times due to people wanting to watch this over the holidays in a few places I went to. I didn't mind because I really wanted to like this movie and was hoping it would be one of those movies that grows on someone. Sadly that isn't the case here. I was expecting this to be some great movie full of laughs and for it to be hilarious based on all the (over)hyping it was given. What I got was Galifniakis having a moment here and there, a few funny pictures at the end, and some outtakes and scenes with Ken Jeong (Mr Chow). Title: Re: Hangover Post by: Fraeg on January 15, 2010, 11:25:13 AM Watched it over the holidays while at my parents. 5 min or so in my dad sat down and watched the rest of it with me. That was pretty cool in and of its own, as the last time I sat on a couch and watched a film with my dad was probably more than a decade ago. Anyways we both laughed our asses off. Initially I wass wondering if my dad might not appreciate the humor but he was in tears when he learned the dentist pulled his own tooth out.
Was this a life changing film? It was no English Patient or Raise the Red Lantern, but I laughed long and hard. One question my dad and I still have: where did the chicken come from? Title: Re: Hangover Post by: dusematic on January 15, 2010, 12:10:18 PM They needed live prey to feed the tiger.
Title: Re: Hangover Post by: Yegolev on January 19, 2010, 12:29:40 PM I have seen worse. I'd rate it between Postal and Tommy Boy.
Title: Re: Hangover Post by: shiznitz on January 25, 2010, 11:55:37 AM I have seen worse. I'd rate it between Postal and Tommy Boy. Where do you put Happy Gilmore on that scale? Title: Re: Hangover Post by: HaemishM on January 25, 2010, 12:31:11 PM I thought it was hilarious, with the best part being when the naked Chinese dude leapt out of the trunk and started whaling on them. I loved the fact that they didn't try to explain why these guys did some of these things, like the tiger, or even how they knew to go there.
I've heard they are making a sequel, and I'm sure it will be about as good as Analyze That. :uhrr: Title: Re: Hangover Post by: NowhereMan on January 26, 2010, 06:31:35 AM I watched the beginning of this, primarily because my dad watched it and thought it was hilarious (:uhrr: bizarrely unexpected) The penthouse scene at the beginning seeme taken straight out of Fear and Loathing but I was just cringing too much to see it much beyond the first 20 minutes.
Title: Re: Hangover Post by: Draegan on January 26, 2010, 11:46:30 AM I thought the movie had a few funny bits, but over all I found myself trying to laugh just because that's what I thought I was supposed to do for this overhyped movie.
